Hell yea full support. Just banning the other account doesn't do anything. Extend it.

Support. Personally I think the ban should just be doubled for the alt and the alt account banned for the original time the main was banned for.

I get banned all the time for ban evasion when my nephews play. To get unbanned you need "proof" that you're not on the account. Even though I was online in pvp while my nephew was breaking the rule. You need to record them using your phone or a camera when the ban message appears.

i have been asked for my input on this

      pros

it is logical to have higher punishments for users that continue abusive behaviour on servers regarding alts.

      cons

      adds complications

may require plugins to allow staff to identify possible alts , plugins require testing and time.

if so what staff should have access to alt tracing ? , this would need to be discussed and addressed by the server team.

staff would need to do alot more work to solve a simple problem, reports , bans , mutes and appeals can be time consuming.

also error factor for alts re: ip addresses, can result in false bans.

whilst intentions are very good here , you also have to understand the workload of the staff team.

in conclusion , whilst this is very positive, it would add a higher workload to the staff team.

      support.

Well mods already ban people for ban evasion, it's not something they are uncommon with. I have seen people get banned for ban evasion before. The only extra work load they would have to do is adding ban time to alt and the main. Everything else they already have done before in the past. So extra workload but not by much.

No support. Last time I reported someone for ban evading I was told it wasn't bannable anymore, they have to be breaking the rules on the alternate account.

      • Ban/Mute Evading:
Do not ban/mute evade or try to get around a ban placed on one of your accounts. If you are given a punishment, you are expected to carry it out like everyone else.

In-game: Ban evasion will result in your alt being banned for the same amount as the main.

It is in fact a rule

Support, instead of just like 5-7 days maybe like the time of the ban gets added on like say your banned for hacking (30 days) and you get banned on an alt for ban evasion, if your 2 weeks into the ban then the 4 weeks gets added on, making it a 6 week ban.

Well it is stated there, and it has been there since the last time I checked which was the beginning of the year when I first made this suggestion.

Anyways, is this still a no support from you?
