I did say that it can be an option to remain anonymous or not, think that will change your Neutral to a support?

Nice Idea, @Pile would you agree with this?

I'll support it but if it not going to accept it then it okay. There is a chance.

For Mineverse especially I think reports and the archives should be private to protect the reporter. Other ways include the template being hidden content automatically for staff eyes only. I know there is an add on that allows anonymous users but I feel that could be abused. So any way to allow privacy for reports is a good idea.

    Support, please implement this.

I’m tired of being harassed on OPPvP after reporting someone for raging at me, and then after them being banned, either coming back on an alt or their friend accusing me for reporting them. It gets tiresome, and offensive after a while.

Changing my neutral to a no support. I like people knowing I got them banned.

If people are being harassed for reporting, just report the harassers, they'll get muted and eventually banned. Also, if people are allowed to be anonymous, the number of false reports will go through the roof, increasing the workload of the staff.
As you say, some people on here are just kids. In the real world when you accuse someone of a crime your identity doesn't remain anonymous unless there is a highly credible threat of physical harm or death. Why not let Mineverse teach the kids who play here about life after blocks?

I may not fully understand this thread, but I believe I understand enough.

It would be a nice feature for players to remain anonymous, but every player should still follow the template if they remain anonymous or not, with their in-game usernames, the offender's in-game username, the rule broke, and the evidence, due to the importance of every aspect.

Also, for a simple solution to this, we could just private the reports archive therefore they will remain anonymous anyway.

I'll give you a neutral, since I agree this should be implemented, but some changes or other simple solutions could be done.

    Good luck though, great suggestion!

First off, this would be optional for the reporter to choose if they want to be anonymous or not.

Second off how would false report go through the roof? I see no correlation what so ever, you can technically false report right now, all it would do is it will get archived due to lack of evidence.

Also this isn't the real world this is a game on a server, if you want kids to learn life lessons they should not seek it from a game.

Just place a random name in the: "what's your IGN?" question, mods don't even look at it.
