Hi Mineversians, Minecon happened this weekend and a couple of exciting things were announced to those who still play the game. Hopefully the title of this thread caught your eye. Minecraft has announced the ''Aquatic update''. This is (to my current knowledge) not 1.13 but a later update which will probably be released in Spring of 2018. Before I mention the aquatic update, there was a competition on which (new) mob should be added to Minecraft. The winner was a new nether mob, information about this mob can be found in this link: https://minecraft.net/nl-nl/article/meet-mob-d The Aquatic update includes the following: (+)Coral and Kelp. These are both organic forms of life which can be found on the bottom of the coast/ocean depending on the region. (+) Shipwrecks are coming as well to be explored by players. (+) A new weapon called the Trident is being added. If you don't know what it is, google it. The weapon can be thrown or used for close-quarter combat. (+) The Trident can also be thrown and brought back to you using the Loyalty enchantment. Other (to my knowledge) new enchantments are Impaler and Slipstream Dash. (+) Additional fish are being brought to Minecraft as well. The dolphin was announced, the other fish have (so far) not been announced, but I'm not expecting a lot of other huge sea creatures to be added. Just more tinier fish that you can acquire using a fishing rod. This is a picture of the dolphin:
"MOB B IS COMING TO MINECRAFT! We have a winner! Congratulations to Mob B you'll be added to Minecraft! Thank you to everyone who voted. It's fantastic that our players got to be involved in what goes in the game!"
Also they've said that 1.13 won't have the textures, but will rather be have a texture pack option, I think
