I don't know if you heard this or not, but some of you had. Simce Skyblock.net is going to reset for the first time in five years, is Mineverse also going to do the same? Would reseting the server attract new people with the new updates, like skyblock?
*Reset And the short answer is, We don't know. We've had no announcement stating that sort of thing besides the voting announcement. They've reset almost every server, I don's see why they wouldn't already.
Doing a reset on Skyblock is very different from doing a reset on Mineverse. Skyblock is one gamemode. Therefore, it is very easy and simple to reset the server. But Mineverse has multiple gamemodes. Doing a global reset would possibly attract new players, possibly not. But either way, some gamemodes don't even need a reset as they've been recently reset. All that to say and from my knowledge, I do not believe there will be any resets soon. It would be amazing to have some, but have not heard of any big gamemodes being reset.
I get your point. I know mineverse has some gamemodes that are up to date. In that case we don't need to worry about those ones. Just the ones that are behind.
Servers within Mineverse reset have all reset. Sure, it brings people back for maybe a week or two, but then it dies down again. It's hard to keep it mainstream.
That's true. ^ Factions, Op Factions, Towny, Prison, OpPrison Kitpvp have all been reset (or in towny's case implemented) and they attract around 50 players to that particular game-mode and sometimes even more, however the server does start to decrease in players. A better way to attract players is by resetting the server but before release make sure it's perfect. Have all the plugins correct get beta testers to help check the server make sure it's fresh and unique instead of just changing the map and resetting.
In my opinion, resetting only makes it worse. I noticed that resets actually don't increase the server player count, but instead people switch game modes for a few weeks just to be the first to be good at it. Take opprison for example. It exploded with players when it reset but now it actually might be even more dead than before the reset.
You may have a point. But if Mineverse gets new features from the new updates, wouldn't that increase the player count? I don't know what version Mineverse is in. As far as I know, Skyblock is going to be updated to 1.9 I believe.
