Application Questions How old are you? I am 15 years of age. I turned 15 on May 1st. Your in-game name: My in-game name is Cheez2009 but I will be changing it to Chezby as of the 1.8 update. Everyone calls me Cheez or Chezby. What timezone are you in? Eastern Standard Time - EST: I know quite a few of the staff members are close to or in the same timezone as me, but I am certain I can get a lot of work done by monitoring and helping at the times I come online. What country do you live in? Whatcha talking aboot, I live in canada eh? What languages do you speak? My primary language is English, but I have been learning French since the fifth grade. I was and still am in the extended french program. I'm not completely fluent but I'm still learning. I can also use tools like Google Translate or any other sites like that if there are players that aren't fluent in english and speak other languages. Why do you think you should become a mod? I have helped in as many ways as i could being a player. This includes reporting rule breakers, warning players in chat for swearing/disrespect/racial slurs/spam, answering players questions concerning any aspects of the server they are confused about, welcoming as many players as I can to Mineverse in-game and on the forum, giving advice and feedback on players suggestions and other topics they may have, and many other ways. I wish to do more for Mineverse, it's given me so much that now I wish to give back in my fullest effort. As of late, I'm very loyal to the server and try to be on for at least 2-5 hours a day whether it be helping or just being chill and playing. The most important aspect of being a moderator is being able to show my full potential of helping the server. I love to help and I've always done so on any server I go on whether it be Minecraft, Garry's Mod, whatever. The staff volunteer their time to make Mineverse the best experience it can be for old players and new and i'd be happy to join in doing that. I will get reports done correctly and efficiently. Until I have solid evidence on a player that's breaking rules, I will not ban. This provides a solid backing on why I banned and no injustice is spit on the staffs reputation. During my previous moderating experience, I had to do land in-game using World Guard. Each time I protected land in-game, I had to report on the forums how much land the player bought, what pex rank they are now, if it was made into a city or not, ect. The reason i'm explaining this is because it shows repetition. I enjoy repetition as it doesn't bore me for a reason. That reason being I helped players in the midst of it. Same thing will happen when I look over Mineverses reports whether it be of a banned player trying to be unbanned or another player helping out reporting a wrongdoer! The following qualifications are what I feel to be the most important ones for being a moderator. Organized: As a moderator, I feel it's best to keep the evidence you have in a separate folder than your giggly gifs. That way, if someone asks for it, you can pull it up in a fast manner. "A clean workspace, is a happy workplace." I agree. Mature: I'm very mature for my age and it really takes maturity for a moderator to stay calm and look at an argument or a problem from both sides. Maturity governs my ability to monitor my thinking and controls my diverse emotions. That is serious right there. Unbiased: I don't care if it was my mom who was hacking (not that she would play Minecraft in the first place, Pile is just awesome lol), i'd still ban her. But seriously, being biased can really damage staffs reputation which leads to broken communities. If there's no community, there's no server. Communication: I have the ability to connect and communicate within Mineverses community with respect and at the same time being informative. I'm not always serious though! I can make you laugh once in a while, if its a joke you need, it's a joke you'll get (a cheezy one at that). Collaborative: My personal aspirations won't get in the way when brainstorming new game-mode ideas or choosing the fate of players bans. I love to hear what the other staff members have to say on an issue because two brains are always better than one. Respectful: Every player I meet, I respect them in the highest manner. I treat others how I would like to be treated. I intend to stay respectful in any situation that may occur as a staff member. Trustworthy: All permissions granted to me, I will not use for my own good. I will use them accordingly to the rules and never for my own aspirations. I can promise you this. There are a lot more traits that are important for being a moderator but this is already getting quite long... .-. How long can you be active on the server everyday? Unexpected events happen randomly in life, so I cannot guarantee my fullest activity 24/7. Will try for at least 2-3 hours a day. How long have you been playing Mineverse? I'm pretty sure it's been over half a year now. A week is really all it took for me to get hooked and add this server to my list. I haven't been playing Mineverse fully, i've been on and off as my friends like to show me different servers and we get addicted to them but I've been a lot more active recently and will be for a long time to come. Do you have any past experience as a moderator? On every server* I've played on, they've sustained a great community and steady inflows of players all thanks to the staff. I haven't had the pleasure of moderating communities as large as Mineverse, but I know I can handle it. As i've said in one of the previous questions, one server i've played on has been up for nearly 4 years. The admins and the owner are very cautious when picking staff and they don't do staff applications on their forum. They ask a player if they want to be a moderator in-game from watching how they act, if they help a lot, their maturity, ect. They picked me because they thought I met all of the qualifications and they haven't been disappointed since. I know how to use World Guard, a bit about Pex and all the vanilla commands that come with Minecraft such as /kick, /ban, /mute 1[s,m,h,d] and more. I'm very experienced with picking plugins and how i should act, respond and deal with each and every situation that comes up during my moderating career. The forums are another hobby that have won the prize of addiction from me. I can't stop refreshing the page to see if someone responded or whatever! I have a genuine interest for spending my time on the forum getting to know the community more and more everyday and handling reports and unban appeals. *Servers World of Eldin World of Bolivia MCGrapeseed JustinCraft There are other servers, but sadly I either can't remember the names of them or they are no longer up and active. Non-Application Questions Are you able to record? Yes, I use a mac recording program called Screenflow. It's reliable and has an editing program that can be used after the recording is done. I can use it to separate the clips into different parts, useful to locate the core bit and use that to upload. When did you first play Minecraft, how often do you play? My friend showed me Minecraft when I was at his house (his mistake). I bought it the week after because I absolutely adored the fact of survival. The version of Minecraft was late alpha so about 2012. I've been playing non-stop since. I know every crafting recipe and all the aspects of the vanilla game. What time are you most often on? In the afternoon usually on some time around 4:00PM - 10:00PM, probably later than that too if I'm not too tired. How can we get ahold of you for voice application? I can PM you my Skype username and we can have a call there or we can make a separate channel in the Skyblock.net teamspeak. Anything else we should know? I'm a fast learner. Anything that I need to know for moderating Mineverse, I will gladly study up on it and learn as fast as possible and as long as needed. Thank you for reading my application! Please leave constructive criticism below. I will gladly take any advice into account. If you don't support, please tell me what i'm doing wrong and I can improve on it. I was going to say the same thing, but I thought that Jadey and Sco came to a conclusion that it was okay as long as the IP wasn't released.
Ahhhh, I just realized I saw you ingame today. I wasn't sure if it was you though, so sorry if I ignored you or anything:bitenails: Anyway, major support from me! :t:
