Just came back after a long time away. And I still see that ranks are still pointless ever since they removed everything good about them. Especially the kits, kits were 90% of the reason to even buy a rank, and the other 10% was the rest which is pretty pointless, unless you get God and get ./fly. What I really want to know is why the prices haven't been lowered, just about everything good was removed. Like look at this: $100 for this? That's basically a scam. I know you guys are trying to keep the server alive, but damn, this is just terrible.
Well, people have already payed. Giving money back is not an option as it's probably already been spent..
I still don't get why kits aren't allowed. Just cause someone 'told' them they aren't, yet huge servers like ******** are still at it, being pay-to-win, and nothing has happened to them. To me it all sounds like a bunch of ******* I'm sure it has. I regret spending so much for nothing.
It would be more of a scam if prices were lowered. I believe the server should take the risk and add kits back. We actually got affected by the blacklisting unfortunately and ultimately had to give up kits to get the server off of the blacklist.
Ranks are there for people who want to support the server. How is it a scam? If you don't like what comes with the donation, don't donate?
as we do not know there are no kits? There should at least be a sign/signal saying there are no kits, you cannot type in colors, and /me is only in certain gamemodes. Perhaps this would help? Also the fact that you should be offline when you buy your donor for command/donor purposes. Of course this is not on the website, and cyp doesn't fix most of the donor issues. Therefore, your kit/purchase does not work fully, and it is not ever fixed. Tell me that's not an issue?
Read the terms and conditions. You paid for a rank where perks are subject to change and agreed to it. Point 2. The kits were removed because they had to be or face the closure of the server. That is considered an extreme circumstance. Donor issues are resolved in time. There are so many different issues from hundreds of players. You think it's easy to handle it all? No. Staff do their best to help speed things along. Yes it is an issue but the resolutions come in time. The shop should be updated. If it hasn't maybe a head mod could bring these things up with Cyp. Rather than complain, turn it into a positive thing and seek a resolution. It makes everything so much more pleasant
I always thought the word donation is not the right word in this context. Sure, you're helping out the server by buying a rank, but that's the thing, buying is not donating. When you donate to something, you don't get anything in return. Unfortunately when people buy the ranks, they only have themselves and what benefits they get in mind, instead of about the server. This is the only way to sell ranks, because there are very few people who would purchase a rank for the sole purpose of helping out the server. Yes, the terms and conditions are very clear, but the owners should still try to make the ranks worth it like they were before we got blacklisted. All these donation issues are big issues, if no one buys rank, then no more Mineverse. These issues include adding perks like color chat to every server, and adding kits back, if the owners want to take that risk. It is not something that they can take 6 months to look at. We all to face that this server is dying, and a big reason for that could be of lack of funds. Yes, resolutions can come with time, but the hard truth is we don't know how much time we have.
The server could just add a way to get the rank in game. A faction server that I play on had a huge risk of shutting down. However in the game if you worked towards getting 1B or something around that type of in-game cash you could buy the First Tier rank. If you got 2B the Second Tier rank and continuing. If Mineverse just added something like that into the game but with Rubies or something. Mineverse isn't in any risk of being shut down. Ranks are in the game, there is a way of getting a rank in game. Everyone's happy.
When people donate for a rank, they want something in return, not just to donate towards the server. Since the ranks are basically pointless now, may as well take all of the ranks and and just a "Out of Heart Donation" feature, where people can actually donate and expect nothing in return. And I donated in the past, when ranks were actually worth it, and if it was possible to return it for everything I spent, I would. That would be the most reasonable action, since they really wont add anything special for ranks. Several other severs I play on do something like this, and it seems to work well, they also have a shop where you can items, kits, and ranks along side of the normal game, but it's not pay-to-win, so it's a useful option. Hm I guess it got bleeped out. Anyways, I'm sure you already know it, just about everyone knows it, starts with an M. I too think they should take the risk. Why is it that only Mineverse is the only server that I've seen that has listened / taken action to the threat. Every single server that I play on / have played on, hasn't had to remove anything or stop donations. Donations are what keep servers running, and so what if the player gets something in return? It's a sham really, that they attack smaller servers and leave the big ones up and running with no consequences.
What, Mineplex?? Mineplex is not pay-to-win. They removed donor kits a looong time ago and replaced them with hub perks. Hub perks don't create unfair advantages for the donators, so it's not considered pay-to-win. Otherwise, I can't think of another huge server that starts with M.
