Now with that being said, sort out your staff team. You have about 20 mods and the most we get online is 2 at a time, I'm not blaming them because they have jobs, timezones are different and I understand they have their own personal lives BUT hire more staff then. You get dozens of applications a day so PICK OUT THE GOOD ONES! THE AMOUNT OF HACKERS ON ANY PVP SERVER AT ANY TIME IS UNBELIEVABLE! For what I believe to be one of mc's best servers (Your staff team is sh*t). Nearly all of them live in one country so what should the rest of us do? You think we enjoy it when hackers take our sh*t while the mods sleep? I honestly do not blame the mods for this but I blame whoever hires the mods, HIRE MORE! YOU HAVE SO MANY APPLICATIONS AND HARDLY ANY MODS! THE MOST MODS ON AT ONE TIME ARE LIKE 3, Have game mode based mods - So there is at least 1 mod on every game mode at all times, that is what the players want. I am witnessing about 20 hackers terrorising kitpvp2 rn and I've had enough of it, I honestly can't understand why you've hired mods all from one side of the globe.


Edit: Once again I understand mods won't be on constantly thats why I'm saying get more mods. So you always have mods online so there aren't hackers constantly ruining the game.


Edit 2: @Candyyy just made a very good point in the comments, if you don't want more staff then make a schedule so the server is never without staff, even hackers were getting tired today because they were able to go on for hours without any sight of a mod on the server. If a schedule was implemented it would help so much more because then everyone would know that there's always staff to help them.

Recently I discovered that the current moderators spend a lot of time on other servers rather than moderate. Those servers are listed are servers amongst ones with 30,000 people online daily and others. We all know which ones those area. And when they do play it's commonly just to hang out with friends and play with them. Not to actually moderate.
This isn't aimed at every single staff member. If a staff member feels this addresses them, fix it yourself, don't reply with bs.

This is a good idea, but it will never happen.

Although this is strange for a mod to comment on this, I support your idea of getting new moderators. I've been constantly asking Pile to consider applications, but nothing has been done in my knowledge.

For myself, I am trying my hardest to be active to the most of my time. I might take a break here and then to calm myself, but I am trying my best.

 

@Ordi you were one of the mods who should've been in my disclaimer, as far as I know you're on multiple hours a day and even if you're not I can message you on Forums and you always hop on right away, if not you have a good reason. I agree we need more mods like you.

OK there are a few pointd I'd like to address. Firstly as for tons of applications there are actually only roughly 20 that are actively replied to, the rest haven't been replied to in over a month, if you don't reply to your own application in over a month you obviously aren't that interested in becoming a moderator.

Secondly the point about taking 10 minutes to ban someone, I cannot completely account for what has been said especially 'sipping tea' ??? However moderators have to be sure that someone is rule breaking before banning them.
Imagine this, you are playing kit/op pvp (or some pvp gamemode) and lots of people start calling you out for hacks, now you don't hack you're just very good at pvp and sometimes your hits look fishy but they are actually legit. If the moderator looks at the fact your hits are fishy and lots of people have said you hack and just banned you it'd be a false ban and this would result in false ban galore. If any of you hace been false banned before imagine that 10 times as often.

Thirdly if mods can't play elsewhere then they'll just resign, we monitor activity but you can't expect them to never play on another server.

 

Kinsey read my post, I understand they want to do other things and have fun my main point is for you guys to get more mods. That will help so much, most of the mods atm are from one side of the globe so they all sleep at roughly the same time, when this happens all the hackers are out. I expect them to play elsewhere and have fun. @kinsey_kid

btw can we all agree - or at least me - the community says "don't be so shy. spread to other gamemodes" but like honestly, all the staff do this. take some staff that play on certain gamemodes more often than others. organize it. maybe make a schedule? just make it better
