As you all know, the factions community is literally dead, so here is some ideas that would help bring it back. - Reset the entire gamemode regulary, around every 3-4 months, this way it doesn't die out. - Add /f top (Faction top scoreboard) This allows players to see what spawners people have in their land. This is fun to compete for, because who doesn't want to be the richest faction. Each spawner would have their own value too, for example Iron Golem spawners would be 10 million f top value, the value is usually determined on their shop price. - Reward the top 3 factions at the end of the map, most servers do this which gains them a lot of players. For example F top 1 would win some kind of paypal reward, 2nd would win a buycraft voucher, and 3rd would win a voucher as well. Not only does this bring many players, it also brings competitive active players, which will make the gamemode really enjoyable. ** Anyone caught cheating to win this prize will not be counted, for example duping, tp glitching others bases etc. - Add Mob Coins for those who love to grind mobs. This adds more aspects to the game, and would be really nice instead of just having money as the eco. Mob coins can be used to buy certain items you cannot obtain any other way, such as creeper eggs. - Add /f raidtop, this allows you to gain points when raiding a factions "raid chunk" usually in the middle of the claim, above y150, you need to shoot tnt into that chunk to gain points. This would be a nice addition since people love to brag about being the best in factions. - Fix the obsidian breaker. - Crate keys with good rewards. - Add envoys. This would drop chests from the sky every 4 hours with special loot inside, These usually happen within the warzone of spawn. - Add koths, this is what us faction players have been wanting for ages, so why not add it, plus everyone would enjoy it. - Add kits back since eula doesn't care anymore, or make it compliant, which would mean buyable ingame ranks or perks etc. - Design a decent factions spawn and warp pvp, not some survival spawn. - Fix silk touching spawners. - Add more stuff to the shop, like spawners etc. - Enable the end, this was a big part of factions last map. - Enable withers in the end only. - Remove mcmmo caps except for axes, keep that at 1500, and maybe remove unarmed completely. - Enable hoppers, these are needed in factions. - Add cobblestone and obsidian gen buckets, this helps to stop lag when making a base, also it's much easier. - Custom enchants maybe, depending on what people want. - Give players 30 power each not 10, since the smaller factions have a chance at defending themselves - Add /f warp with a maximum of 5, these could be purchased with money or mobcoins since it gives us something to work towards. - Faction Challenges. - Fix /fly, you can fly in wilderness, also add a perm so you can stop certain players flying in your land. Limit allies/truces to 1 or 2, so people don't gank smaller teams in pvp. I've probably missed out a lot, so if anyone else has any ideas, it would be appreciated if you commented them below, so i can add them in.
Wasn't there previous talk about adding koths? Pretty sure Cyp was fairly set with the idea of adding them, if I recall correctly. Would definitely be beneficial for a Factions based server. Custom enchants would most likely cause the server to take too long to reset as unfortunately there are no full-time developers, though they could be taken from pre-made plugins. Having the End allows for a quick paced start as people race, which could be seen as a good thing - though people do leave after this. I'm personally unsure of the whole EULA thing, as I've been inactive for a while. I doubt they are fully over the whole thing - I could be incorrect with saying this. Applying a competitive aspect to any server will usually boost player count. That's why I've previously created a thread based around leaderboards. People love to be at the top, that's why leaderboards work in bringing and maintaining players. Challenges, if done correctly are usually very good. To conclude, it wouldn't be hurtful to attempt to add most, if not all of the suggested. Great job, Ben.
This is all easily possible and wouldn't cost much if they asked a custom developer to implement these changes.
It deleted factions creating and ruined it all lol. Like your scoreboard on Factions is a bunch of broken codes. Support ??

Support, factions is normally a fun gamemode so I wish it were a popular community on mineverse. Hope some stuff gets fixed to bring this back to the server.
