Alright well this idea is pretty simple

Basically theres a unwatch button on comments

the reason im suggesting this is because i've commented on someone ONCE and then got 18 alerts for a conversation im not even a part of and keep getting spammed alerts

So say @reborn. says something to me and i just say 1 thing AND THEN LETS SAY..UH @Stacker7 carries it out and then i have 15 alerts that doesn't even concern me

if you go to "alert preferences" under your settings, there's a way to turn off notifications for comments on other people's profile posts.

Yes so if I said something on ur profile page and then every one else kept spamming it u could hit "unwatch comment" then u wouldn't get spammed alerts

I'm 90% certain someone else suggested this before. XenForo 2.0 offers this option. However, I don't believe there is a plugin for your suggestion at the moment. Unless Merkz paid for someone to create this plugin and grant forum players the permission. Unfortunately I doubt that'll happen.
