OP PvP has been running on the same map for over 3 years now and it would be nice to get a reset. The following gamemodes have been reset at least once: - Kit PvP - Infection - Skyblock - Survival - Prison - OP Prison - OP Factions - Parkour The following game modes were released after I joined in 2013: - Minigames - Sky Grid - Hellblock - GTA - OP Factions - OP Prison - Archer PvP OP Prison and Factions were both released after OP PvP and got resets before it. A few months ago I made a survey for OP PvP and I included the following questions: Do you believe OP PvP needs a new map? Out of everyone who filled out 66.7% of people said that OP PvP needs a new map. That is 2/3 of people who filed out the survey. Do you believe sharp 30 swords are too common? This question was a 50/50 split between yes and no. If sharp 30 was truly too common, it is a sign that the server has been going on for a very long time. Do you believe OP PvP should reset? I had 4 different responses for this one: Full reset: 44.4% Map reset: 27.8% Item reset: 11.1% No reset: 16.7% According to the survey, 44.4% of people want a full reset, which is a majority of people who filled out the survey. Do you think OP PvP needs major change? This one was another 50/50 split. 50% is too big of a number to not consider, but the people in the survey didn't elaborate on what the change needed to implemented. I realize that it is called OP PvP, but balance and the map are things that still need to be looked at and maintained. We have been playing on the same map since the creation of OP PvP, and game play does not feel balanced anymore. Also, OP Prison and Factions were both reset, proving that the owners do care about balance even though they are "OP". OP PvP is arguably the 3rd most popular gamemode on the network with how it is now, if it gets reset, more people will join the server!
Nonono OpPvP isn't like most of the others where you can hoard gear for indefinite amounts of time. Armor and really everything breaks quickly and there's no /fix and resetting it will be sad, especially because I became rich just yesterday :p
No Support. Op PvP isn't a gamemode that needs a full reset. The map, yes, but not the whole gamemode. Just look at kitpvp. They made a reset and added a new map with new stuff. The old kit is way more popular cause they don,t want a reset yet. Same with op pvp.
Armor doesn't take that long to get, and I feel like dying in KitPvP hurts more (if you'd not rich on either) . KitPvP is like that because Cyp decided to keep the old kitpvp. If OP PvP got a reset and only have the new OP PvP then everyone will funnel into the new one.
I mean, KitPvp got a reset because it was in drastic need for one. Remember, people glitched items in and there was all of this economic crisis, etc. OpPvp isn't suffering from any major issues. (Except the community but hey it's a pvp gamemode) I do feel as though we need a new map, the current one doesn't even have the Titan rank list and a new fresh fighting land to OpPvp is long over-due. I mean who use's wool and cramps up a spawn area?
I want a reset because I want gameplay to be fresh. I want to be able to work for my gear again. I understand your point and it is completely valid.
That is a good point. I do sometimes feel that some people have far too many kits than what they should have. I will support the reset, despite me still being on the fence
