So I've been a player on MV for around three years, so I may be a bit behind the par when it comes to introductions, but hey, better late than never. My name is Vashryl, Vash for short, and I go by the usernamed 'HansTheKitten'. I am most well known for not taking anything seriously, and then there was that time I picked a fight with a moderator (spoiler, didn't end well) Now you may be wondering, "why would anyone choose to call themselves 'HansTheKitten'", and that, is a good question. Real answer? No idea. I saw someone who had a name that was borderline that one day, and went "I want to be HansTheKitten", and that was the end of that. I am currently disputing whether or not to rename myself to "KlausDieKatze" (German for "Klaus the Cat") However this is all very mechanical, not much about me as a person. I am currently 16, turning 17 in May, and am in my first year of highschool. Now keep in mind, I haven't been held back, haven't skipped any years, I am in the grade I should be in. Where I live, that being Norway, elementary school is until 8th grade, then 8th grade to 11th is middle school, then 11th to 14th is highschool. I am not Norwegian though, I am American, having moved from Washington (state) when I was 7. Now little did I know, these introductions are a lot harder than I thought they would be. So I have always been raised very academically, with my father being a math professor with qualifications into Mensa, and my mother being a teacher for her whole carrier. This has lead to some painful times, as I am not nearly as interested in getting good grades as they want me to be, preferring to spend my time messing around rather than doing schoolwork. As a result of this, I find it painful to compare myself to my two best friends, one of them being a skrub with perfect grades (tryhard) and the other managing to score near perfect grades (also a tryhard), then to top it off, both of them are national level athletes. (one in taekwondo, the other in basketball) What about me you ask? Well, I score moderately good grades. I stay up too late, I sleep through Spanish class (god I hate Spanish class), and my exercise routine consists of walking my dog and walking to school. (it means around 7km a day of walking, but really not that much) However I have redeeming traits! My humor is on point. So many bad puns to be made, so little time to make them I'm super hot, like "just looking at you gave me an erection, and I'm a straight guy" level of sexy I'm really kind, like.... I donno, I feel bad for homeless people level of kind? And last but not least, I'm super modest. I have never once met a person more modest than me. So nowadays I don't really play, Minecraft has kinda lost it's appeal to me. However I still hang around the forums, cuz it's easy to just pop on the forums and browse a bit. Instead I end up reading a large amount of Manga, and playing a match of 'Heroes of the Storm' here and there. Now don't go calling me an otaku for reading manga, for two reasons: 1, that term is actually quite offensive, and despite the fact it has turned into a joke in the western world, is along the lines of a curse word in Japanese culture. 2. I'm not one. My reading of Manga doesn't interfere with my real world life. I used to watch Anime too (oh shush you hentai freaks, not that), however I ended up phasing out of that after around a year or two of watching, when it became too much effort to find something that I wanted to watch. Other than doing that, I mostly avoid work. Like right now for example! I have three essays due this week (started on one of them), a test on Friday, and another two tests next week! Am I prepared? No Thinking of that I should get back to working ._. Either way, Best wishes, - Vash/Hans
My grandfather is an active member, but my dad never wanted to pay the membership fees, so I say he's "qualified" rather than "part of"...
lol i feel u, both my parents are successful self made people, and they expect me to be the same, but im just trying my best to avoid work
Welcome Hi We have things in common I made my introduction 1 year and 3 months after I joined MV and I always procrastinate before making my homeworks
Once I had 9 months to do a major project... Try to guess how much of it I spent not doing said project
Yeah, that works. It does get a little expensive when all you're doing is hanging out with retired over-fifty year olds.
