so this has already been mentioned before I believe, but wouldn't it be rlly sweet to have some Media team that releases videos (on youtube) about new releases, resets, maps and more? I know a couple of servers that do this, and it really gathers up excitement and more people end up going to the server and people who left come back to check out whats happened. There'd be a rank and people who do have the rank are allowed to fly like staff and have /god so they can record in all angles. If abused not only would the rank be wiped from them, they may be banned based on the severity. The tag would look a bit like this There'd also be a Youtube account named Mineverse or something and only the Head staff (Cyp, Crew, Pile and kinsey) would have access to uploading videos, just for security reasons. We can't trust people that much. But yeah let me know if you want this added, and if you don't then tell me why. pce Special Responses and Replies Oh yeah thanks for pointing that out, there'd be some requirements which Crew and cyp could figure out So people who have watermarks in their recorder wouldn't be let in the team, and you'd need good fps or ping if possible.
I don't think this is really necessary. Also giving them /God and /Fly?? I know people say it would boost popularity, but would it? You'd really need some brilliant video editors and an amazing PC to produce the best video ever, for me, personally -- if a video looks even slightly tacky, I lose respect for that company or community, it might just be a problem of mine, but my point is -- I think unless we have extremely, EXTREMELY skilled video editors etc. Then this may negate from the servers popularity. I honestly just am a little weary about this idea, I have been from the start. Also; I think this suggestion is just being repeated now, not taking a hit, but I think if it were to happen; it may have already happened.

Back when I did video editing, not only is it hard--but it can be really stressful! I remember working on a video for someone I was working for and I remember spending 5-6 hours to do 7 seconds :// lol
what seriously I mean, I once did a video for a irl friend and the video was about 5-6 minutes, and I did it in about 1-2 hours.
Support, a media team would be useful. Cyp could use their videos in threads of the "News and Announcements" section to show for example how a gamemode would look like after its reset. What would be the list of the commands they would have access to though?
yeah exactly If accepted I'll let cyp know or I might edit the thread and put them in if I can think of some commands
Idk I think thats more of a moderator command imo even though I still think it'd be abused. Perhaps /gm 3 because that way we can go through new maps better and so on
Really cool concept, I think you can do like server trailers and maybe some build time lapses as well It might not be super popular at first but if it catches peoples attention I think it'll be cool. :D
That was exactly what I thought of. I probably only decided to suggest this because of watching some of Grians videos and other server vids after that. Of course we'd only do it if it was cool with you and the rest of the builders ;p
Support. Whether this is a good idea or not really depends on whether Mineverse staff can find the time to make these videos and produce good quality ones that can catch peoples' attention (as stated above). Since I doubt the owners and staff would accept this suggestion if they couldn't do this, I'll support. This could be a cool idea and fairly entertaining as well...
oh no it wouldn't be the staff team, only the head staff would need to upload the videos, and that's it. There would be a media team application and people can apply for the position, and they have to prove they are good at video making, filming or whatever they claim they excel at.
