Unfortunately this has the topic of discussion for a long time now and I just don't see it happening, The fear of a mod abusing is far to great for us to be given it. I would love to see some mods get it (or not see them pardon the pun) maybe after being staff for period of time but at the end of the day mods are usually quick enough to catch hackers and if we are not then we just try again.
It's funny seeing how mods so often are quick to admit defeat. "Someone would abuse!" Like please, if they did abuse it, they would be demoted. Lack of permissions is something I fought for over and over again and got no close to no where. The staff team shouldn't give up and if they want these permissions, they should fight for them. I am sure cyp would be forced to listen to the whole team and eventually, it may just happen. I know the server shrunk half of its player base since I left the team but there are still endless amounts of hackers to be caught. The negative side of things doesn't outway the positive side at all. It would be better for the server.
what kind of server are we running if we can't trust our mods. Do you have any mods who you think would abuse?
I am going to be completely honest here and say no support. This command could be so easily abused, more abused that any command we have now. I understand why yall want it, why most mods want it, but I also know many other commands we need before we even try to get /v. I don't support it because someone could easily go in /v while fighting, or tp to someone in /v and kill them, or tp to someone in /v and get their coords without them knowing. This also makes us invisible, so it doesn't seem like we are online. We need to be easily found if we are online if someone needs help. This would make it so players couldn't message us unless we message them first. Honestly, the best way is to avoid outting the mod in the chat. When we join and everyone is like "MOD" or "I GOT A MOD" or "Mod tp to [player] he is hacking" or anything along those lines, the hackers immediately toggle. I think there are things mods and players can do together that would make it so we don't need /v.
