Rating?

This isn't a suggestion to bring it back.

But the 'dumb' rating was around in 2014 I believe (that's when I see it used on other threads the most.)
Why was it removed?

 

Maybe because some people found that calling them 'dumb' is rude? Idk, I've never seen this rating

 

If you look at the second mod application it's used on something someone said.

It could be 'rude' but so are a lot of other things that are still able to be on here lmao

I loved that rating. It relates to (6% of what @UncleUrnesto posts.

You can tell if someone has had one or more of their posts rated dumb if they have received more negative ratings then dislike ratings.

It was probably removed because the rating was thought as demeaning, and people may have taken offense to it.

 

I would rate all your posts dumb if the rating came back

People take the dislike rating as demeaning too, but if that was removed then we'd be closer to FB

The like button is so much more abused than the dumb rating, often because people complain so much less about good ratings being abused than bad ones.

 

From my point of view the rating might have been removed as it was being used unnecessarily.

I believe people used to spam this rating on others they disliked. It's quite easy for one to say that they think a person's post is 'dumb' and give the rating.

It wasn't removed because people abused it. I feel it was removed because some people got offended by receiving this rating.

 

Lol it was used on my first ever application. But yea once I took a break from this server a while ago I came back and it was never there so I am not sure :/

I honestly think it should come back from my point of view.

For people who commented "This could be abused" Anything could be abused, easily.

Why did they remove it anyway? I mean, c'mon if they're gonna have any negative ratings, then why not have this one?

Some may take this rating as "Demeaning". seriously, anything could come across as "demeaning", from somebody agreeing (rating it that aswell) with anothers post about something bad about you to many other things.

This was honestly a big rating.
