Personally I don't find "kys" as a 'death threat' so I find it dumb. But considering it's a "kid-friendly" server I feel as the chat filter is fine. Neutral
You don't need to ask anyone it's logic. How is saying you want someone to die mean "I'M GOING TO KILL YOU". Just use your common sense. Actually scratch that, if you had that you wouldn't have asked her the question.
You posted it on an online forums. If you want to talk directly and privately to someone PM them. Don't get salty when someone brings up a valid point.
took you a long time, you must've been thinking very hard to come up with a sentence like that done with this convo, don't want to get any more off-topic. bye
so let's keep the punishment as is and let's just ban players instead of giving them some awareness that there actually is some rule on death threats. Yes, let's not give them another chance because they might've not known!! like I said, people may not know there is such a rule on death threats, and when they do know about it, they realise they got a month ban and boom, they leave the server. thank you oml if you are going to argue on a thread because you are immensely triggered about other peoples opinions, please leave. well we used to be a kid-friendly server, and like I said people are still going to bypass the filter like they are now. Even then filtering kys may make the server even more kid friendly ;p we would be doing some people good by teaching them about plurals and not all words just have a "s" after the word May I ask why you had decided to go neutral to the idea? Edit: People, if you feel sensitive on the topic of death threats and someone decides to treat it as kys is not a death threat or it's nothing, because kys is not a death threat. I repeat, it is not a death threat. Thank you @Mega_ and @Kyra for clearing this up, because I decided to search up the definition of a death threat, and this is it - "To kill another person". Saying kys means "kill yourself". Doesn't mean that you are going to kill them now, is it?
