Sure there have been many threads, most of them are saying: "We need this now, Lets get this, This would be awesome!" But, there is not a thread on how this works. This is my conversation sent to Cypriot: Spoiler I'll be sending this to you via conversation & making a thread to hear from the community. Your system of catching hackers is out of date. There are now Ghost clients, Hook-ins, and autoclickers. Obvious hacks are sometimes uncaught because once they see a mod log onto a server, they turn them off. This plugin: https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/screenshare.20687/ It's very simple to use, and is self-explanatory. I've even had the liberty to write the config for you. Hidden Content: You must reply before you can see the hidden data contained here. It will also be helpful if you made a screensharing team, trust-wrothy individuals that know what to look for, and how to spot hacks. You might have to re-work the rules system, but this would really help out the server. There have been countless requests for this, the community wants it. You will see the mountain of support. For the sake of security, I have hidden the code from average users. This plugin works as a freezing plugin. You type, /ss <player>, then they get a message that says to join the mineverse teamspeak. From there Mods will handle the situation by having the player open a join.me and looking all for hacks, but having no administrator control over the users computer. Honestly, we need this. There are tons of people with unidentifiable hacks, and they have never gotten banned for unfair advantage. If you'd like more information on the plugin, the link is posted in the spoiler above. People say a New Year promotes change, lets change the server for the better.
Support, but if you're using a ghost client and you have "obvious hacks" you need to change your settings.
Which I do not agree with, I would rather be banned than be forced to screen-share, not to mention the false bans that will incur for various reasons such as simply losing your connection. And as for appeals, well anyone can appeal with any valid excuse to be un-banned if they log off, e.g. I had to go to school, football training, a wedding, etc. No support.
Lmfao don't take it personal but you seem pretty self centered. What about all the people with autoclickers and ghost clients that you can't catch on vid?
You'd have to ask Sam, as I did not make the suggestion. But I'm pretty sure you couldn't get unbanned right away I'm sure it would be a month or something of the sorts. Also, you would only have an SS team filled with respected/trusted people. In all honesty i think it should be added considering our mods don't do much but catch the obvious hackers and chat offenders.
supporT i've been false banned so many times and appeals have gotten denied even thought i dont cheat.
Listen to me, I wrote the config. If the player logs off, he doesn't get banned. That is up to Cypriot. If you read the config, you could figure that out.
If someone was hacking, why would they screen-share if they don't want to get banned? If there is no punishment for logging out and not doing the screen-share, then this whole idea is pointless.
If I ran this server, than I would tell you. This is a tool for Mineverse. You guy's decide, together, on how to use it. Don't dislike the idea because you don't know how to work it.
I'm saying that I don't agree with there being a punishment, but I am also saying that there is no logical point of this suggestion if there is no punishment for denying/logging out. You do not understand what I am saying. I understand how it works, which is why I do not support it. Of course I want to see every hacker get banned, but I don't think people should have to prove that they don't hack.
Kolo's. Every up-to-date server is doing this. Ghost Clients are undetectable by the minecraft eye. If you SS someone, and they come out clean? Than no-punishment, but if you SS someone, and they have hacks, you ban them. People SHOULD prove that they don't hack. If you had the knowledge of an experienced staff member, not to be rude, you'd get this point. It takes usually 5 minutes to SS someone. If they are clean, cool. There is always that what-if.
