I am suggesting the addition -- rather modification for the two current themes -- of "dark themed" variants. The vast majority of users on the forums use a computer on a regular basis, often throughout the day. This leads to a large amount of strain on the eyes and only gets worse as you age; Not to mention at night this fatigue exponentially grows. Many creative professionals require their applications to be as close to true black as possible for this reason, as it increases productivity and efficiency while mitigating strain and fatigue. Professional/casual programs below offer this feature, including operating systems: Adobe creative applications AutoDesk applications Spotify Steam Skype (preview) Google Chrome Windows/Mac OS While the owners do want to keep a specific theme to their, well themes, the main page content section (the large white section you're staring at right now) should be able to be modified without affecting the overall atmosphere of the page as it is the main culprit for the current eye strain. If two additional themes are too much for some reason, one either new or modified theme would be beneficial to users. I'm sure something space related can be made with the most readily available aspect of our universe, darkness.
Support. I don't get any eye trouble with the current themes, maybe I'm just use to it. Other people might find this useful, though.
