Hey All, Working to try to put together a larger list of some wants/needs for SkyBlock that have come up or been recurring since the reset. This is my attempt to put together a list and get feedback before posting the finalized version over to the suggestions forum. Shop Additions/Modifications: Sand - $300 Still allows for current market rate on Sand, but allows it to be more available since kits died. Grass - $300 Still allows for current market rate on Grass, but allows it to be more available since kits died. Regular Glass - $200 While there are stained glass, there is no regular glass. Price is same as stained version. Redstone - $50 Without kits, redstone can only be received via voter keys and then only rarely. This makes it mildly expensive, but more attainable (a single vote allows you to buy 10 of them) Iron Ingot - $400 (Down from $650) With kits being gone, iron has been getting more difficult to obtain. The price reflects that there are no/minimal alternate sources. MCMMO Additions: Herbalism - Gives another skill that many people would train just in the course of making money. Would request the double drop rate here be nerfed to something pretty low to minimize chance of abuse at higher levels Woodcutting - Many players use trees as a source of income, so would be fun to see them rewarded Repair - While Gods+ have /fix, giving players the ability to repair certain tools is good for everyone. I'm not convinced salvage is a good idea as may lead to a flood of some items gotten from fishing. Unarmed - Skeletons are a pain in /MA. if players trained this high enough, helps them dodge arrows and adds a bit more fun to /MA. With no PVP, I do not think the Disarm would be any sort of factor Overall Skyblock Additions: Ability to move Island home location Alternatively, allow players to set warps again Ability to change Island Biome Set a long cooldown for this ability. Say 7-14 days to prevent people changing all the time. Glamour Titles Set Requirements for achieving some fun titles that players could choose from. Titles rewarded from either turning in items, buying with in-game money or completing challenges. NOTE: partially included the buy titles with in-game money as a way to get some money out of the economy and give people something else to spend on. Challenges (Some random examples of non-standard ones below) Chicken Chaser - Obtain 320 Chicken Eggs Tower of Power - Light a Beacon Whoops - Create an Obsidian The Flash - Win Reactions at least 100 times Johnny Appleseed - Obtain 64 Apples Masonry - Obtain 16 Brick, 16 Nether bricks, 16 Stone bricks ================================================================= Please feel free to weigh in on any or all part of this post and I will work to update it or discuss further as time allows. Cheers, Melgrath
By all means! I just took like 5 minutes to throw a few random ones together. I would hope that over time even if challenges were implemented, players could propose new challenges to keep things fun over time.
very interesting I support but i highly doubt that the admins will add all these things to skyblocks, as they have removed certain mcmmo things for a reason I am sure they may want to keep it as is. Side Comment: pretty sure you want alchemy so people will start brewing potions which you would be able to sell them your nether warts for money :P
Lol partially true on the alchemy side, but more importantly, I'm curious to see people who focus on alchemy get to a point when potions in kits do more when in /MA
i believe alchemy does nothing with the effects of the potion but the type of potions they can create if i remember correctly
Sigh, a case of not remembering properly. These things happen with age/ Removed alchemy from MCMMO part.
Nice, but anything that affects the island plugin or island setting will not happen. As the skyblock plugin is 100% custom and "one-off", its not like other easier ones. Herbalism and Woodcutting get OP really quick! Drop the iron price, or add in villagers and nerf the emerald price. Redstone you get 8 as a reward or from /ma, or add villagers back in.
I love the unique challenges and I really hope they, along with everything else, get implemented! I personally think players should have to pay for a change of biome, possibly $1000 (which isn't too much considering that's two days of voting which is completely plausable if the cooldown is 7-14 days) for simple biomes likes plains & desert and $2500 for biomes like flower forest and jungle as you can get various flowers or naturally spawning ocelots (this also gives people something to spend their cash on ;) )
