Do you know of an xenforo plugin that would do this?

Also please bare in mind this would constantly need to be streaming from a central server checking if there were any updates, this would mean wasted processing power and bandwith checking if the forums are updated constantly.

 

There are numerous websites that do this, it isn't that resource intensive.
