They're needs to be much more moderators to control the lack of rule breaking and disrespect of hacking on the server! Especially KitPvP, the servers most popular gamemode. I don't understand this. A few days a I applied myself for Mod and was denied because I supposingly "Did not meet the requirments." Well excuse me, I don't think the staffs that have been hired already meet the requirments apparently! There are rarely staff on to control chaos, I see small servers with max 100 people always banning hackers across their server every few minutes, 100 members max! Mineverse holds 300 - 700 on average a daily basis during the day. I suggest hiring me a mod, recall staff, have a meeting or something. This is pathetic.
http://www.mineverse.com/forums/report-a-player.86/ you don't meet these requirements: 50 post count 2 weeks on forums 2fa Skype/Teamspeak for offline communication
First off, Were you in a incident that involved rule breaking? We have a solution! Its called screen shotting or recording then simply reporting (The three rhymes of banning) on forums. We apology that our moderators were not on, they were simply having a life rather than spending 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and 100 years a century moderating this server. While we appreciate your care for the community, we currently have the minimum required staff to cover every hour. While the staff do not have a work schedule, they are as on as much as they can. To argue that the staff do not meet the requirements to justify your own problems is not fair for you do not see what happens on the other side. Moderators not only have to ban and/or mute rule breakers, they also have to communicate with other staff, with other players, handle reports online, and deal with a whiny community that loves to test moderators. There are times when a moderator is not only for many reasons. Whether it be the holidays, tired, asleep, at school, or even tired of the community treating them like crap, moderators are allowed to not be on for a certain amount of time a day. They are not required to be on 24/7, but are encouraged to be on daily and active in-game and on forums. While you say you meet the requirements, you must ask yourself, do you really? Can you handle the stress of handling bans/mutes justly while communicating with other staff via Skype while also being active int he community in-game and on forums during work hours as a moderator? Can you handle not raging at a community that hates or dislikes you? Can you? If so, let them know in your application that you can or let them know you have done such stress levels before. Being a mod is no walk in the park in this community and you should not treat it as so if you do. Finally, to say the moderators don't ban hackers that often, is simply inaccurate. Take a look at reports being accepted and see the sheer amount of hackers that are reported and banned by the staff team. To compare us to a small server is very inaccurate considering we have up to 400-500 along with several staff. The reason you might see small servers banning constantly is because they go through the old and new hackers coming through and trying to ruin a small server that is growing. I have personally been a moderator in the past and have seen many tell me they could do my job. But, the truth is the job that you want to do is very stressful and tempting to break it just for a some peace and quiet. While I do appreciate your concern, I don't see that staff being inactive at this time. Next time I'd compare us to a larger server such as MP, HP, or even DA.
Ye lol. "I suggest hiring me a mod.." if you don't meet the requirements, you don't. Maybe you should work your way up to meet them, then you might be 'hired' as mod. -Suixx
If you criticize the server, you don't meet requirements, you're being negative and salty and you're not even applying, I don't wonder why the Owners haven't done that.
