I think players should be allowed to close their own Threads. Like me i suggested some tuff and people dident like it. So i REQUESTED to close it. And of course to our very kind staff they did. I just think it would make it easier to let us close our own threads. Also it would help the staff not to be so busy.

No support, this can be used to troll in many ways. I think it is fine with mods closing threads on your request.

That is what Moderators are here for. Even if you could close your own threads, we still have to go through the forums and move them to the appropriate archive section. I see nothing wrong with tagging a Mod or reporting the thread, requesting it to be closed.

    I defiantly support actually.

.net has a feature where you can just delete a thread. Why can't we have that? It both A) reduces need for mod intervening which free's up time for mods and B) Is very convenient

You don't just close the thread and bam its done. Of course if we custom made the website we could set it to where if a thread is closed in a certain section say you closed a thread in the discussion section it would send the thread automatically to the discussions archived section. But, its not a fully custom website, so we can't do that. Til then we are stuck with the way we have it which is we have to manually move it to the archives. So, just letting players close threads is a bit wasting of time since it still requires the moderator to move the thread to the archives instead of just closing and leaving it in say discussions. So, no support.

Yes, but you still need to archive the thread, which is a action only moderators should have. This doesn't change much, moderators would still need to move the thread to archives, it would be convienant for everyone that the staff have to do both actions.

Supporting, due to it could help us close forums a lot faster than mods can, and may keep the mods a little bit less busy.

I agree, this would result in a lot of trolling and messiness. You'd have to remember to archive the threads manually, and with more people doing it, it'd be quite hard for Mods to check all the time whether threads are in the right section.
