If someone is currently banned in game why in the hell should they be allowed to have an open application? Sorta contradicting dont you think?
Support, but I don't think there is a way to automatically close the thread. You would have to have the forums connected to the server somehow. Maybe a mod could manually lock it?
So basically what has been said is no support because mods in the past that were "good" mods were banned before they got promoted. I mean, I get the part where ex-mods are banned for quite some time after resignations/demotions, but its only 3-4 months. Plenty of time to fix or do what you needed to do when you resigned to come back months later, so I see no issue there. As far as the general bans, well you should've known the rules if you were such a great person before moderator. A player should fix his/her issues if he is banned falsely, if not falsely then he/she should wait out the legit ban for the player's past actions. Promoting people with bans gives the staff a bad image and gives us a image of who Cypriot promotes. Which are people that have broken the forum rules and got mod afterwards. Say you are banned on Factions for hacking, what kind of image does that put the staff team if you are apart of them? Not a good one that's for sure. It makes the community not exactly trust your actions and it makes it harder for you and most likely other staff to earn the respect of the community. Because, who's gonna trust someone to moderator a server he/she hacked on? Some may, and some won't and some who are trolls will push that the moderator shouldn't be moderating. I think for those reasons, players with in-game bans shouldn't be allowed to make a application or have their application locked til the ban is either expired or is resolved. Who's going to support someone that broke the rules while applying anyway? Not too many from what I've seen from applications before.
Yeah but suggestions are for suggesting things to change just saying Support, this should be the same on forums though.
