Disclaimer: To all the underage staff, I do not mean any offense at all. It is in your best interest to listen to what I have to say, and give feedback. Thankie! <3 We need an age requirement for Moderators. I'm thinking at least 14? Rest assured, I have a perfectly good explanation. I have studied multiple server staff, on a wide variety of servers (not naming any specific names) and their ages in particular. I have noticed, throughout my time as staff and my time here, that older aged staff members (i.e. 15 and up) are less likely to resign after a four month time span. This means that, in conclusion, younger aged staff members do not work as actively as older aged staff members. Having more active older staff members, means dealing with a lot less staff applications, which, in personal experience, can sometimes be a bothersome pain. Again, I mean no disrespect whatsoever. I am merely sharing my findings. Of course, maturity is another key factor. I have seen on here, and other servers, multiple staff applications that are either lying about their age, stealing or plagiarizing others' applications, or are just plain rude and immature. We need to seriously enforce an age restriction. Another study I made, was that older aged staff members are a lot more active and/or have more time on their hands to moderate and work. While the typical resignation reason for staff members under the age of 14 is, "my grades are not good" or "high school is just too much for me, and I cannot focus on moderating." Again, this is less likely of older aged staff members. Believe me, many of the servers I have been to have age restrictions, and they are quite prosperous. I honestly think that we wouldn't lose so many of our dear and beloved moderators if we had a proper age restriction. Younger kids should enjoy Mineverse. Which brings me to another point. The stress levels of an average underaged moderator are higher than necessary at that point in their lives. Handling and maintaining order, especially on larger servers such as this, tends to increase their stress level, which is another reason many of the resignations are due to "bad grades" or "too much work." They are exasperating their stress level, due to a study of online gaming in younger kids. Anyhow, if I find any more key points, I will be sure to add them. Send me feedback, as I will continue my studies!
We had a very good staff member @Blueman05 who was only 11. He was very mature and active for his age and did his job very well. I don't think there should be an age requirement as we could use people like him.
I'm just saying one 11 year old doesn't represent the entire 11 year olds. While one could be mature the rest could easily be the opposite. then again is there's even an legit way to tell how old someone is. you can easily fake your age limit.
why though? the bad staff either resign or grt demoted. ive met some pretty chill kids when i was staff here
I have just read his resignation. He said he was struggling with homework as well. Another point stated in my claim.
@MaxNinja10 served over a year and two terms as staff. He was promoted as our youngest staff(11) and by far one of the most mature. @Janice999 is just a fraction older(I believe) and has been here almost a year. To be blunt our team wouldn't be the same without her. No support for obvious reasons.
