[PSA] Great mods that are not banned (As of Dec. 5. 2016)

So with the news that 5zig has now been ruled out as a bannable mod due to its recent update, you might be wondering what to do now that your favorite mod has been bananae'd. However, there is still a plethora of good mods that can be used as a substitute! (Note: Some mods may require Forge to run!)

Anything with macros

Hacked clients (Exception: Head staff approval, use as staff member, etc)

X-Ray Mods/X-Ray Texturepacks: This mod comes in the form of a mod and a
texturepack, both of which aren't allowed to be used on any server, all they do is show you where the goods are giving you a major advantage over others.

JustPvP is not allowed because of the ability to use 1.7 pvp mechanics.

How you mentioned tinkers construct surprised me, since it's not the type of mod you'd use on a vanilla server.
But on the rest I must agree. @Musezeta suggested the use of BetterHUD and many people use Optifine.

There are a few different mods that you can also find in Nanuez post, here. this thread will show you what mods are legal and illegal.

 

I used it personally for a while. It's real easy to use and handle for a new or experienced player.

I put tinkers on there as a general mod to use which is fun (because it is quite fun).
I'll add illegal mods into the thread!

 

I am sad that 5zig isn't allowed anymore. With all the mods using forge, you get gap lag, but with 5zig, you don't. So I don't even think about using any other mods anymore. Thanks tho!

 

You could use BetterSprint. it doesnt lag for me very much.

If I remember correctly, it is illegal, but I am not sure if it changed.
