Good Day, I would like to propose the below idea as a second means of currency that may make Mob Arena more enjoyable and useful for players. Problem: The randomness of items given after each wave can be extremely frustrating to complete Wave 30 and get a single sapling or a few empty bowls. Even when you get better items, they may not be what you desire and thus it ends up getting even more frustrating. Proposed Solution: I would like to propose points be given per wave. These points would be redeemable in something like /MAshop for the same types of items for various point costs. The points per wave increase, meaning the further you get, the more points you get and thus the better items you can afford. Rough Estimates on Point values: Each wave gives 1 point per level. Thus Wave 1 is only worth 1 point, but Wave 20 is worth 20 points. This means that should you complete Wave 20 you have gathered 210 points combined from all waves. This makes getting to later waves much more lucrative, and means you can't AFK join for points as the first waves are worth far less. Redeemable Items: (Not all items, just some samples and a guess at pricing) Brick: 8 NetherBrick: 8 Netherrack: 5 Sea Lanterns: 50 Iron: 30 Gold: 40 Diamond: 750 Grass: 15 Red Sand: 20 Sand: 15 Please post comments, feedback or suggestions and will edit as I can. After the game. Whatever you get inside the Mob Arena is removed once you leave. (vote party rewards, voting rewards etc.)
Correct. My thoughts were almost something like /shop, just /mobshop to allow players to spend their points.
Neutral. - I do not agree with the Diamonds being added to the list, since it's not a item that you can receive. - The /mashop is a good idea, but I don't think the value of the items are a good price. - The value earned from every wave is too overpowered. Some people could get to wave 40, as I have reached once, and get a total of 820 points, which they could use on one item only, example the cheap sand. I am leaning towards No Support, since the random items is what I believe enough, since you can get a variety of items, without going for one item in particular with /mashop Good Luck!
Thank you for the feedback. I would like to offer my thoughts in return on some of your points. Diamonds are actually possible (confirmed with CheeseHeaven and Kai_7187 from waves 40+ so it is tough, but possible Values were merely a stab in the dark, subject to change The value earned per wave was designed to reward those who put in the time to get to wave 40+. I imagine you spent over an hour in the arena to get there. (Assuming you weren't using /god before that got fixed) With that in mind, 810 points for more than an hour of time isn't so crazy. Especially if in that hour you could have easily made 4k (price of a diamond) which means getting a diamond at the end, is good, but not game breaking. As a pretty avid MobArena player, my average is about 25-27 before I get bored and just die, or legit die. If I am playing archer, 30+ is possible, but again, huge mount of time to kite mobs around to get the points. Feel free to let me know if I am mistaken or if you have differing opinions from above. I actually love discussion like this as it helps to refine ideas into something potentially useful.
I roughly took around 20-30minutes, even though it's 810, you could buy one item, and get a lot out of it.
