At the moment as we speak we are getting much more less players. And i want to solve this i have had many of my friends quiting due to hackers i think we need more mods to be online regularly. Im sure there is lots of stuff we need to fix and i think we can do it. I have noticed less players alot i remember ages ago this server used to get at least 1k players but now were downgrading to 100- 500. Mostly 200 or 100 i think we need to solve this.
It's impossible for Mods to be online 100% of the time when hackers are online, but when we are online, we do try our best to ban as many hackers as possible and answer players' questions. It would be much more efficient and productive if more players, including yourself, started recording these incidents of rule breaking and reporting them on the forums. In which case, many more hackers would be banned and Mineverse would not have such a pertinent hacker issue.
This is truly annoying to find dozens of threads in less than a month about that. As @Andrewswj said, mods can't be online 100% of the time, they have lifes. Also, these days more players are playing everyday, a week ago I saw there was 600 players online, while there was 800 yesterday. If you complain about hackers, leave or report them. Do you want an award for being the 7938th to say Mineverse is dying?
It's dying because updates come every 6months, Mods are treated like nothing by cyp and noob. This is the way the owners want to the server to go.
If you did check your facts before making a post, we might have a different thread. While yes, we "used" to have 1k players, it was mostly in the weekends. In fact, we haven't lost that many during the weekends. If you check the graph at the site that we vote at (go to the server page and click stats) you can see the amount of players that are on during the week. According to the data, were not decreasing that badly, while yes we did have a increase this week for thanksgiving, we aren't below 200 or even hitting 100 during the day. For our Australian and European players, sadly we are hitting the 100-200 player limit due to the time of day. We have more American players than we do any other region, therefore the night hours will be low as shown on the graph. Now, while you say you want to fix this since your friends quit due to hackers, I say you should encourage them to come back. Just adding more mods doesn't do anything. Quality over quantity as I say in these kinds of situations. I'd rather have say 2 dozen good moderators than 4 dozen "bad" moderators (not saying they all would be bad, but saying many of them would be either bad or inexperienced). The reason why we don't hire say 12 at a time, is because we want to make sure the mods are good and prepared and training say 20 at a time puts stress on the new mods and the older ones training them. As for your friends and you, just promoting more moderators isn't going to fix the problem entirely. Its going to be a 50 50 deal that the community has to take. The community and the staff wil need to work together to get rid of the major portion of hackers we have during the day. Not only will the mods need to work to ban them as they see reports and are online, but the community needs to take action when needed. Yes, we can't ban them, but we can record them. Rather than screaming, "HACKER HACKER BAN BAN BAN!" in chat with the name of the hacker in chat, record them and report them. This also goes for my idea with /vanish as well..ya know contacting mods and all that. While staff are typically online throughout the day, screaming at moderators to ban a player for hacks isn't going to fix the issue. Smart hackers don't go afk and are usually paying attention to tabs and chat to make sure no moderator is watching them. So, having a moderator come on to ban someone scares the hackers off and makes them wait til the mod leaves to go back to hacking. So, its better for you and the staff in saving time and energy reporting them via forums and a free recording software known as bandicam (Yeah a little title stamp on the top of videos doesn't hurt the quality). In the end, Mineverse is dying, but not the reasons your stating. According to the data, its not in the hundreds, but its getting there. However, I will be doing a thread sometime soon stating that Minecraft is the reason we're dying, so that'll answer most the reasons why we are dying. But, if we want to keep Mineverse from dying, we as a community need to step up our role in this server and take action instead of relying on the moderators for all the work.
boooiiiiii you only just figuring this out? search how many people have made a thread like this. dont worry though, the owners will take care of it aaaany minute now
I actually pretty much agree with you, @The Real Xtreme . Having players report rule breakers would be a more productive way to keep hackers away, and try to reduce toxicity.
Lol if you look at the long term you can see a loss of over 1000 players . The recent spike is probably from the skyblock reset.
Another one of these threads. It's verging post farming now. Mineverse isn't dead; until it's dead we don't need to worry. It's recently been maintaining a player base of 300-700 which is good considering we were down to 100-200 players. @The Real Xtreme has a brilliant post. All of what I want to say is in there.
Mineverse has actually gone up, over the past couple of months Minevers's max player count was usually around 500,600 now it reached 700,750.The server is slowly rising up, the staff and players will report as many hackers as possible. Hope your issue gets fixed;)
If this is really a purrblem, I suggest a ban reset. My old server had them about once a year, and it drew back many players to the server. Including purrvious people who had hacked, but have since then changed.
Gonna keep it simple, Mineverse has around 500-900 players on. It's like in the top 10# servers. But The thing is, and I hate saying, is that Minecraft it's self is slowly dieing. I mean, there is a big problem with hackers, and lag, but other then that, there's nothing wrong with the server.
I guess you could say that, but still, mods could help, and they do. But you are right, but I am mostly not with you on that. It's a bit extreme
I agree. It's not just mineverse losing players, it's minecraft in total. I'll stay with it until the end ;) (Unless I die before then lol)
True as Mr. Friendly said minecraft these days as much as they try to release updates to prevent it etc. is to open/succeptible to hackers servers getting ddossed and numerous other game ruining experiences
