For real though, I spend at least an hour a day on op pvp. Hackers will always be there, just got to deal with them. Also maybe if the majority of the players on the game mods weren't so salty towards mods we'd be happy to go on :)

Look, I am going to be honest. What people are saying about the spam and disrespect we get on op pvp and kit pvp, to "TP THERE IS A HACKER" or "WHY AREN'T YOU BANNING THEM YOU ARE A BAD MOD" or some of the many many other things, on top of people demanding we go to another game mode, another person asking how to report a hacker, at the same time another is asking how to appeal a ban, and I could go on and on, is true. Honestly, it does make moderators lose interest when we continuously do things for this server only to be called horrible mods or get told we don't do our jobs. Also, real life happens sometimes. Sometime we go on vacation with no internet, we have to work on homework or write a paper so we have no free time to get on, we need to study for exams, we have computer problems, etc. People seem to expect mods to have no life and make no mistakes, but we are human. You also cannot see our ban logs. You cannot see who me mute, warn, or kick. In all honesty, quite a bit goes on behind the scenes that you don't see. Honestly, I do spend most of my time on op pvp or kit pvp, only to see threads like this being created. As people stated, you can always report. Yes, that does mean they won't get banned immediately, but it helps us and almost assures that they will get banned. You have to understand though that we are global moderators, we cannot stay on one game mode the whole time we are on. Other people need our help elsewhere. So, maybe instead of creating these rude threads about how we don't do our job, actually take the time to report hackers or help in-game.

Tbh the problem is that cyp basically lets people ban evade by not disabling vpns I can literally get banned right now go on an alt & turn on a vpn and I can do whatever I want basically, most of these hackers get banned, hop on vpn and continue hacking so boom we are back at the same situation where we started at. If he can disable vpns then it would reduce the amount of hacking going on & less complaining for all the staff cause all you guys do is seem to annoy them quite a bit tbh.

      Lol

I agree with the other posts. People literally think that mods are slaves. They beg them to go to another part of the server when they're already doing something at that server. Just please be patient. Thanks :)

This doesn't need to be a suggestion because it's already a requirement.

So here is the thing, we promote staff and staff leave ALL the time. It's a constant rotation. Most mods averaging 4-6 months before they get burned out and resign. The issue?

People apply to help not realizing their favorite server just now became the place where they aren't able to play anymore. Mods get no time to enjoy the server they once loved because the moment they log in they are on /staff and therefore clocked in. On average there isn't more than 1-3 mods on at the same time. So when you are on EVERYONE needs your help which is fine but we can only help one person at a time. So sometimes there is a running line up of people we are trying to help. By the time I get done with the 4-5 people needing my help with chests on Prison, the poor kid waiting for me to get to OP or Kit has all but given up or the moment I log on the hacker logs off or goes to spawn.

Staff have lives, this is true but we all signed up to help the best we can. It's not a players job to record and report. I do my best and log on every day but it's still impossible to catch every player(time zones).

Based on the time this thread was posted you are either UK or AU. It was posted at 3:30am Pacific time here in the US. That makes it 6:30am for those on the East coast here. Most mods are in school or sleeping at that time. We are always in need of UK and AU mods. This is the hardest time zone to get/keep staff.

      My apologies.

I know what you are thinking because it's not that simple but why do you have to be so passive aggressive? I am at a loss.

People like you who say, "SMH" (or shaking my head) need to be reminded that moderators are people, not robots. While I understand the issue, "MODS DONT HAVE LIVES THEREFORE PFKHFJ WE NEED MORE MODS" we sometimes forget these people have lives. Life in general is stressful, considering society and all. Most moderators are under the age of 20 or so and have school (while most college kids do have school as well, its considered college not "school"). By the time they get finished with life they barely have time for themselves and decide to spend that time on a server full of people griping that mods are never on to fix the issues that don't seem to be a problem.

You see a hacker? Report him. Its better than calling a mod to ban him since most hackers realize, "Oh...that's a mod, i better turn off my hacks before i get banned" and go to spawn waiting til mod logs off to continue hacking. It helps not only yourself but the mod on saving time by reporting hackers with a free recording software (such as bandicam which is easy to use) and reporting them via forums. Like the moderators said, they take care of things on the forums quite often so its not that reporting on the forums is the issue, its the players wanting the mods to do everything for them.

You realize that there are more then 35+ staff members with only 500 players right? There was only 20-25 moderators when there was 1,500 players. There's no excuse for atleast one moderator to be on. That's why Cypriot promotes people from all different time zones.

Mods spend most of their time on the PvP game modes. But they don't always have to. People on other game modes might need help so they go there for a while. The tag "Global Moderator" means that they are meant to cover all game modes in their time as a mod.

Yet USA is still dominating the amount of staff we have. Not too many meet the requirements to be moderator as EU or AUS. Those that do meet the requirement take some time to convince Cypriot to promote them. Then you have to apply life for those players as well. You also have to consider there is no work schedule for the staff either. People can clock in whenever they want and they don't have to provide evidence that they ever clocked in either and how long they clocked in that day. If we did have a work schedule where everyone came on at a certain time then it might be better, but we don't. If we had everyone work a hour a day, we would have more than all 24 hours filled each day and for certain hours have more than one mod on to help players. But, sadly that hasn't been implemented.
