Hello all! Today I would like to discuss a fact, hackers basically go only on pvp and that's where we lack mods, well let's face it we lack mods all around. . . But we need more mods on pvp 100% ! Support or No Support?
...I spend most of my time on pvp game modes....but people on other game modes need help too sometimes...
Its up to the mods choice people need help on all game mode's, pretty much what random said. Good luck with the idea
As a mod, we are very likely to gain A LOT of hate while on PvP game-modes. I've even had to get to the point where I've had to ban someone for staff disrespect toward me just because I that person chose to call me out of being a "bad mod". You guys like to hate on us because we cannot be everywhere on the map at one time. We are classed as terrible mods because a player died to a hacker that we never banned. What you don't seem to realise is that we need evidence for each and every single ban we file. It's not just as easy as you saying a username in chat and then telling us to ban them. That is not how it works. The hate we get doesn't motivate us as all to want to stay and assist players. Keep the hate down and sure, I'll become more active than I currently am.
Here is the problem I love the idea but mods can't just play pvp game modes. This is for two reasons. First is because there are A LOT of trash talkers on the pvp game modes. They are usually calling out mods as @TradeOffer said they call mods bad mods and that is really not necessary. Second is because there are a lot of other servers moderators have to cover they can't really moderate mainly one game mode. So I am neutral
Thanks! h I think we need more mods let's start with you Nah allg just maybe too much time on forums. . . Maybe not you I haven't seen you on in a bit but most mods spend too much time on forums All mods at the moment are pretty good we just need more
I think we have a good amount of moderators. We are handling reports fine and doing stuff in-game just as well. It's impossible for us to be online 24/7 though, that's the only downfall we will have. Also, that would be incredibly improbable to achieve.
Players also carry half the responsibility that staff do, we are able to report other players with evidence to help the mods out. It may not be a quick process but It gets the job done. I agree with the statements the mods say above, pvp gamemodes tend to have a lot of salt directed towards mods because they cannot ban players off a couple of people saying they hack. They have to gather evidence and file the ban. They do this for EVERY ban. I do admit the server could use maybe some server specific moderators for each gamemode and more global moderators but you have to realize mods can't be everywhere at once. It takes guts to be mod and I respect that, especially with all the hate they sometimes get on the server.
Mods do go on Kitpvp, all the time actually, the mods have other places to be except kitpvp @Apocalypses, you just have to be patient and wait for them to come/do reports.
As I stated above us players carry half the responsibility. Moderators on mineverse do their very best and we help out as much as we can
Actually, mods seem only to be on Pvp gamemodes. The only staff I see playing regularly on non pvp is... Alex on towny. Maybe sometimes Kinsey on Creative. Mods and staff receive a lot of hate, saying they're bad, and that they should be demoted for being afk. I felt terrible having to watch it happen to my friend, so I can't even imagine what it felt like to ne harassed like that. Neutral
This point comes up very often. Global moderators are now what you apply for; so there's no longer a requirement to be stuck to one server. Although we may have signed up to help the server, we still enjoy having time to ourselves playing. It's a relatively hard job, just banning 1 person, we cannot just ban them up and atom. However, when I'm online -- I circulate around gamemodes, as the server has 200-490 players on, and I'm (and the other staff) expected to ensure they're all happy. @Apocalypses has a great point. If you see a hacker, report him! That way, you're taking some weight off our back, and doing a brilliant job also, but not only reporting players -- but you also have /gmsg, if you see a hacker, use this, therefore we can play the gamemodes we want to play - and when you see a hacker, we can pop over and help you. As I don't think moderators should be confined to the PVP servers, I'm afraid I'll be going with no support.
This suggestion annoys me, just the fact you mentioned it quite rude. I'm friends with many moderators and you don't understand how much spam and hate they get to go to other servers or to 'tp there's a hacker!' In all honesty, moderators tend to lose interest with being mod because of us. Stop complaining and appreciate what you have.
