Unable to vote

For the past 3 days whenever I start up mcservers.org, the vote button remains grayed out and I can't fix it whatsoever. Does anyone know a fix??

 

Try going directly to vote.mineverse.com

If that does not help, is it possible that someone is voting for you?

 

No matter what angle I tackle the page from, it refuses to let up :/

I should hope not, i've been on for small amounts in the past few days and no-ones mentioned anything about voting for me.

But on a serious note is someone else in your house voting? You can only vote once a day per ip

 

It did that to me yesterday, so my vote streak is gone.

 

People are voting under your username or someone else with your IP

 

Unfortunately, there are people who just don't want you to get Top Voter and just vote under your username on random times, which mess up the streak.

If indeed no one if voting for you, (you would know because of in game rewards) then let's see if it is your cookies. If you are using chrome open the Chrome Dev Tools by pressing F12. Once the chrome dev tools are open, just right click on the refresh button and a menu will drop down. This menu gives you the option of doing a hard refresh, or even clearing the cache and do a hard refresh automatically. On a mac, just pres cmd shift R.

Also look into doing a DNS flush in the cmd portal. You type this into the cmd portal "ipconfig /flushdns". Not sure how to do it on mac.

You can find out when someone if voting for you when it happens to say "You must wait until tomorrow to vote again." or something similar to this.

 

That will happen when you finish your own voting. The message will appear at the top or bottom about how you have voted today already.

 

Does anyone else in your house play MC and vote? This might also be the problem. If there is, try voting from your phone ( not connected to wifi) or use a proxy.
Btw refresh button is the circle arrow button on your browser.

Well, my brother plays it as well, but he has no reason to be voting for my account.

 

Even if he does not vote for you, it will say you voted. votes are based off of IP address. That is why I suggested from your phone (off of wifi) or using a proxy.

 

I noticed that when u vote, u have to wait fur the page to fully stop loading. It's most likely to not purrcess if u exit out of the page early

 

Oh shiet... yep it was the fact that we share the IP address... i've tried my phone but it doesnt work as it uses the same connection (i dont want to waste data just to vote). How would i go about making a proxy?

 

Tunnelbear worked well for me. I use it for Netflix. It has an easy GUI with easy region switching. This is a VPN. Similar to a proxy. I however have not used it in maybe 2 years.

Might also want to look into proxy guides.
