I'm going to copy what @AlexHandsLs's said in his thread but add one more thing. "Should add a YouTube rank for members that make videos on the sever. Reasons stated why below(Sorry if I sound harsh) No one take this personal but for those that have a brain, adding a YouTube rank would give more people motivation to record on this server to reach that goal. YouTube rank should be something people could earn, there are tons of great Mineverse YouTubers, and they might not be able to get the rank because you want it to be 20k+, what 20k comes on mineverse regularly and has it as their main server? I brought a 50k to mineverse and the chat blew up. Youtubers with 10k+ should have a rank called [Famous] and Youtubers with 1k+ could have something similar to this[YT]. All I am saying is make the rank something people could get.
I'm not sure how many times people will be told this: I'm almost certain Cypriot has stated that unless someone with a 15k, active subscriber base was willing to record for the server, he'd deny these suggestions.
Well. I'm just going off what the other majority of threads say. I personally don't like the idea of a YouTube rank, call me picky or annoying, but I just dislike it. I dislike the way people at the moment believe they're above everyone for their YouTube channel.
I've edited my original post. My reason is: I dislike the idea of people thinking they're above other players due to their YouTube channel. It's either a thing you understand, or don't. I feel Cypriot's original statement/opinion on the rank was acceptable, and if someone with a growing channel genuinely wanted to help the server; then maybe it's a thing to consider. I think 1,000 subs is low. A lot of people at my school bot that amount of subs and in a week.
Everyone has an opinion. It's just people want the YT rank because it could benefit Mineverse. I will disagree on what you said about "I dislike the way people at the moment believe they're above everyone for their YouTube Channel" Having a YT rank is like having moderator. If you want it, you have to work for it. I don't recall anyone thinking that they are above normal members because of their YT channel.
I agree with @Elliot and his points, but also, I doubt a YT rank would do that much to change anything.
So why make it 1000 subs? Anyone could just sub-bot to get the rank? As I said, it's either a thing you've experienced or not. I'm more concerned about the level of subscribers you need.. @Upsets My opinion is.. My opinion. If I have had this experience, then I have had the experience of people thinking they're above others due to the their channel. A YouTube rank would do quite a lot... If the YouTubers were actually large channels. Thanks for understanding my point. My opinion.
If they were a large channel yes, but I wouldn't class 1000 subs as a large channel, which is why I think 10k+ is worthy of a YouTube rank, but otherwise, I can't see it making much of a difference. But of course, it's all up to opinion ;P
LOOOOL mods(some) feel like they are above other people, don't even mention that bs man I swear dory has a higher iq than some of the people in these comments, not naming any names.
This doesn't make much sense. My point was, sorry, my opinion was -- that some people think they're above others because they have a channel. If you want to argue with my opinion, at least ask why I think this before jumping on the "Mods are jealous" band-wagon.
