Many of you may be wondering how to install,optifine,forge, or basically update your Minecraft,there is a simple way to get to your versions folder on a Mac book pro.
So here is a simple easy way on how to do ut

• Click history twice which is located near file, once you have hit history twice and your not on safari it should say go.
• Once there go to folder's and type this code into the folder

• Once you have clicked the go button on the bottom you will see a whole bunch of folder's, make sure you click the folder named "Minecraft"

• Once there you basically click on the folder, there will be a whole bunch of folder's inside minecraft you can add resource packs,mods,screenhots,and the most important the versions folder

Once in the versions folder you can install anything you want like optifine

Thats only if you want to change the version of Minecraft, doesn't opt fine and stuff like that

 

Exactly it opens the folder and you can press the back button but whatever

 

It opens versions not the folder you cant drag stuff into versions but the versions folder u can

Can't you go on the texture pack thing and then click on add a texture pack so it brings you to the folder?

Yes all u need to do is click the folder and u can add any texture packs u like
