      Websiting’s Moderator Application

      Introduction:
Hello everyone, I am Websiting, My in real life name is Liam, I am 18 years old, and I have been playing Mineverse for about 3 years and a half. Throughout these 3 years and a half, I have met many amazing people who became some of my greatest friends on Minecraft to this day. But I have also met many not so friendly people such as scammers and hackers. This is why I have now decided that it was time for me to apply for mod. I enjoy many of the game modes daily, but I would have to say that my favourite is OpPvp.

I would just like to say a few things about responding to my application; I want any feedback that you guys have to say. If you find a single grammar/spelling error tell me please (although I hope there are none to be found because I just spent $30 on a grammar checker called Grammarly and if it doesn’t work well I will be disappointed.) If you believe I am inactive on forums or in game, then I would love to schedule a time to meet up with you in any game mode you want so we can get to know each other a bit more. Just please don’t just say “No Support.” please say something like “No Support because reason one reason two reason 3 and so on.” I want to be able to improve on my application and not just be left there to wonder what I did wrong. Thank you for taking the time to read my moderator application and have a lovely day!!!

      How old are you? Classified

      Your in-game name:
      Websiting

      What timezone are you in?
      I am in GMT+

What country do you live in?
      I live in the England
      What languages do you speak?
I am only fluent in English, but I am currently learning French.

Do you have the necessary means of capturing evidence? (i.e. recording software, screenshots, etc.)
Yes, I have bandicam recorder, i screenshot with my Minecraft screenshotter and i save it on to my personal documents if needed when people hack i can provide the screenshots i have.

Why do you think you should become a mod?
There are countless reasons to why I would love to become a mod and to why I believe that I should be a mod. I have three favorite game modes, KitPvp, OpPvp, and infection. On KitPvp and OpPvp as many of you know, you encounter countless hackers. It is not only like this on KitPvp and OpPvp, but it is like this in every other game mode. Hackers destroy everyone’s in game experience and many it, so the server is a lot less fun to play. With this, I believe we need more moderators to catch the countless number of hackers that the average player will encounter on a daily basis. Although our moderator team bans a countless number of hackers each day, the problem persists seemingly unaffected. We need to add more staff members to fix this issue.

Hacking is not the only problem that our server has. There are also vast amounts of scammers. Scammers have just as much affect on people's in-game play as hackers if not more. One of the biggest things that have motivated me to apply for a mod is getting scammed. On OpFactions, I was scammed out of 10 million dollars and never got it back. This game occurrence happens to people every day in-game on several of our game modes I want to stop this from happening.

Now for the positive side of being a moderator. I would love to be able to get on every day and not only stop rule breakers. But also help the new members of our community that need help and ask questions (even though I already try my best to do this) being a moderator would enable me to go to a whole new level of helping people because when you are a moderator people actively search you out for help. I feel that I am ready for this primary responsibility of helping players to my fullest ability.

Now here are a few more specific reasons for why I think I should be a moderator on our excellent server.

      Helpful
The definition of helpful is giving or ready to give help. I am always prepared to help any player who needs aid and will go to the farthest extent to get a player something he or she needs. I frequently answer questions for newer players who don’t know the answers to certain things. I will always try to the full extent of my power to make any members stay on Mineverse a fun, enjoyable stay on our server.

      Active
I am an incredibly active player in game and on forums. Whenever I am needed, I will be ready to pounce on a problem and resolve it. If I am not on game, then I will be doing one of two things. Looking at forums and replying to various kinds of threads or I will be on mine chat (to everyone that doesn’t know what mine chat is, it is an iPhone app that allows me to talk on our servers chat but not be in game). I play at least 5 hours a day even on school nights.

      Dedicated
The definition of dedicated is being devoted to a task or purpose; having single-minded loyalty or integrity. I am a dedicated player since the first day joined this server I have been loyal, active, and helpful. Being dedicated is an essential trait that our server needs to have in it’s moderators. If I start a job, I will work and not stop until I get what need’s being done, done.

      Hard-working
I am hard-working. This is another key trait that is substantially necessary for a moderator to be successful at his job. You will need to be willing to put in the hours to get everything you need to have done, done. With this, I will moderate for 5 hours plus a day, and I will continually strive to make our server a better place for everyone. If there are 20 new reports on the report section of our forums, I will along with all my other fellow moderators, and work for hours to make sure that each thread is read and given fair, unbiased judgement and to make sure that I don’t ban someone who doesn’t deserve to be banned or mute someone who did nothing. I will work to make sure that I give my opinion on every single thread in forums sections such as suggestions and moderator applications.

      Reporter
I report players on a daily basis on Mineverse. On the average day I will report up to 10 people. This includes hackers, spammers, scammers and all around bad people who are dragging down the community of Mineverse. Here is my channel where I report players. I currently have 77 reports and counting and I hope that one day I will no longer need to report and that I can just temp ban players myself.

      Calm
The definition of calm is not showing or feeling nervousness, anger, or other emotions. Being calm is an essential part of being a good moderator. In intense situations, you will need to have this trait. If you do not, you could end up making a bad mistake and end up ruining the name of the server. You must remain calm and think logically about what you will do when something bad is happening. I fully embody this trait as I always remain calm and free of emotion when someone is either hacking, scamming, or breaking other rules. Or just being disrespectful.

      Honest
The definition of honest is free of deceit and untruthfulness; sincere. You need to be honest not with just others but yourself also. Honesty is the true key trait. When you are judging a report or a ban appeal, you will need to be honest with yourself and no think about things that will affect your decision. If this player that is being reported has been rude to you in the past, you will still need to make sure that you are unbiased and fair towards them so that you do not unfairly ban someone.

      Responsible
The definition of responsible is having an obligation to do something or having control over or care for someone, as part of one's job or role. To be a moderator, you need to be responsible. Some nights you may have to stay up late to get work done such as reading and accepting/denying ban appeals or reports. I will always make sure that I do my fair share of work on the moderator team. Being responsible is not only this but also not reacting to players insults on the game or just simply message them back saying I respect your opinion I will do my best to be better. You can not be irresponsible and mess up the way Mineverse looks to the average player. Moderators are the face of our server so we must act accordingly and make sure we do not damage that image. I believe that I am responsible and ready to take on my part of the staff team.

      Aware
When I am a moderator, I will be aware of everything that is happening on the server and make sure I understand the situation at hand before jumping to any rash decisions/conclusions on what a player has done. I will make sure I am aware of all the information before doing something I will regret.

      Mature
Although I am only 18 years old, I am considered mature among my peers and superiors. In school, I am on my student council that is composed of people that have all the following traits listed above. I try my best never to cuss in game, and I will never cuss. I look down upon people who cuss because it is an immature thing. I will always make sure I am mature in game and on forums so that Mineverses players know how they should act on the server. Now some people may disagree with this because of past messages I have said. Although I am rarely immature. Everyone makes mistakes and to all of you who disagree with me saying I am mature. I would love to meet you in-game so I can prove to you that I am a mature and respectable player.

      Fast-typer
I am a fast typer. When you are a moderator, you can be overwhelmed by 5+ people messaging you at the same time. Luckily I can type 28 words per minute. With this, I can quickly and efficiently manage the influx of messages that will come to me when I am a moderator.

      Experienced
With serving as a staff member on many other servers in my Minecraft past, I have learned all of the basic commands that a moderator would need to know to do his job correctly. I know all of the following commands.
      /fly
      /godmode
/mute (player) (amount of time) (reason)
/ban (player) (amount of time) (reason)
      /tempban (player) (time) (reason)
      /kick (player) (amount of time)
      /tp (player)
along with many other various commands.

Every single trait listed above is vital to being able to be a good moderator on our server. Although I am not perfect in all of these, I believe I do embody them. And I will continue to work my best to show everyone that I am worthy of being moderator on our wonderful server.

How long can you be active on the server every day?
I can be active every day for a minimum of 6 hours but here is a more detailed list of exactly what I can do approximately each day.

      In game
      Monday - 3 to 6 hours
      Tuesday - 4 to 9 hours
      Wednesday - 5 to 8 hours
      Thursday - 2 to 9 hours
      Friday - 6 to 9 hours
      Saturday - 5 to 8 hours
      Sunday - 4 to 7 hours

      Forums
      Monday - 3 to 5 hours
      Tuesday - 4 to 7 hours
      Wednesday - 4 to 6 hours
      Thursday - 2 to 4 hours
      Friday - 6 to 10 hours
      Saturday - 7 to 13 hours
      Sunday - 4 to 10 hours

      Minechat for all days
      15 minutes to 1 hour
Now remember of course there will be exceptions to this list, I could play longer or shorter.

How long have you been playing Mineverse?
I have been playing Mineverse for 3 years and a half.

Have you ever been banned in the past? (Forums & In-game)
Yes, sadly I have been banned once in game from Kitpvp for having labymod.

Do you have any past experience as a moderator?
Yes, I have a vast amount of experience as a moderator. On one server specifically, I was a moderator for about 6 months until I was then trusted enough to become a head moderator then another three months later I was trusted even more and was moved up to the position of admin. Throughout these nine months, I grew to know every single command you could think of that you would need to be a moderator on Mineverse. This server is still running today, but I resigned within a week of joining Mineverse so that I could divert more time here instead of there. And as said earlier I know all of the commands at he experience section.

      Other.
Thank you, everyone, for taking the time to read my moderator application, I greatly appreciate all of the feedback that I am sure I will get and remember. I want any possible kind of feedback so that I can improve myself and make my application better. I made a past application and i got lots of feedback that allowed me to improve greatly. I have added much detail. I have also shifted the focus from hackers to hackers, scammers, and spammers. If you have any additional ideas, please tell me!!! Once again thank you for reading my application and have a good day. I hope you all enjoyed reading my moderator application. Sometimes i can be rude BUT its only when im angry but now i have self-awareness that its not acceptable.

      Signed,
      Websiting :D
