    Hello everyone,

    This is my suggestion:

When you click on a rating, a page opens and you must write in it why you are giving this rating.

When you're done, mods will receive an alert about this. They will chose to add the rating or not, and you will

receive an alert because a mod approved or not the rating and the person who received the rating will get an

alert. I think it would be great to prevent rate abuse.

Vote in the poll and click on ratings + - x.

If you are neutral or not supporting, please explain why.

Most people choose ratings really fast and probably don't want to write about them. Neutral?

    Too much work?
This should be added to prevent post farming.

No support. This would be too troublesome. You can always report post farming/rate farming :P

I completely understand the suggestion, and what your aims with it are.

I like the thought of not having giving pointless ratings, that go towards trophy count. (Neutral ratings can be spammed)

However, the amount of ratings given everyday would be a huge overload on the more serious things that the moderators would then end up looking over. They'd be trying to apply all ratings for people rather that doing more important things.

I like the idea, but sorry, no support.

No support. I think we should just stick with regular rating.

    Neutral...
Maybe they could rate it, then write the reason. Then it would be rated. Mods and staffs would then have the choice pf removing it?

No support. However if a rating looks dodgy a mod should pm who used the rating to ask why, rather than just removing it then banning for "abusing". For example someone rated a post bad spelling for a grammar error, it got removed so he added it back and got banned for rate abuse.

It would be irritating to have to do this every time you want to rate something.

    • Like - Explanation = I like what this person has to say
    • Agree - Explanation = This person holds the same opinion as me
    • Disagree - Explanation = This person holds a different opinion to me
A lot of the ratings are self explanatory and typing in those explanations when you rate something is basically just describing what the rating is. Most of the time, there isn't much else to it.

If someone feels they have been rate abused, they can report it to a staff member which would cause a lot less hassle for the team than having to approve every single rating.
