Helper Rank

I already suggested this a few weeks ago

In all seriousness though this would be an amazing idea but would that mean there would be lower expectations for the helper rank than the Moderator Rank. Yea I agree with the commands it would make the Moderating easier. Would you still apply with the same Format you do as when you apply for Moderator?

 

No it won't complicate things further, it will help out. There are many hackers on all game modes, having 7 staff members isn't enough, imo. Half of the staff aren't that active, it'd be extremely helpful to have helpers. If staff varied on all gamemodes than I'd have a diffent opinion.

I'll tell you why.

Mineverse already has quite a diverse staff team with many different (some would say too many) ranks, all of which can preform basic moderation.

Also, instead of wasting time on helper, I'd rather just have more fully fledged moderators. I've always been opposed to the idea of helper as they are almost purely cosmetic ranks with very few real power to help them moderate, making them near obsolete.

In the almost 3 years I've been here, I've seen these suggestions countless, whether it be helper or t mod or something else. They never get accepted. I seriously doubt Cypriot would ever implement this.

The "trial" system works exceedingly well on many other servers. Allows the newly promoted to acquire what they need in order to provide the community with their best ability.

Half of them do nothing anyway.
You are basically making this idea so that the Helpers get spammed with questions instead of the mods :/. You even stated it.

I personally dont want this server more like minetime, but it would be good the have a 'helper' rank or 'trial moderator'

 

I support this, I feel bad for all the mods who log on and instantly get spammed with messages. The only problem I can see with this is that all of the Helpers would have lost of stress on their backs because of all the messages. One way I think they could cope with this is if Helpers can have some way of showing they are busy without having to say "Sorry i'm currently helping someone else". Other than that you have my full support!
