On Mineverse, there is pretty much a 1:8 hacker:legit ratio, and the mods are trying to catch them. However, once a moderator approaches or logs on into a server, client hackers immediately turn off their hacks until the moderator leaves. This is a problem because most people don't have a recording software to capture hacks and usually rely on mods to catch them. If moderators had permission to use the vanish command, it would be a lot easier to catch hackers because they wouldn't know if a mod was online or not.
I think they should just invis. potion or gm 3.... Then they would be able to recieve messages about hackers on at the same time + hidden, its a win-win. No Support
I vote for either /vanish or gm3. Honestly, just anything that would make us invisible would be soooo helpful!
(No support) /gm 3 would be less abuse friendly ;) Auzzi, could you confirm if gm 3 would serve the same purpose or would it have some issues?
Support for /v, gamemode 3 shows your head and hackers can concentrate on that so it wouldn't work too well.
Wow, you guys really trust our staff. If all of the mods are truly responsible, respectable people, then giving them /v should be no issue. Support
/v would be perfectly fine, and as Smiley said. Gamemode 3 shows players your head, which really doesn't make you invisible that much. Support.
Neutral, This can be good and bad. It could be abused but also good to catch people doing bad things. I would prefer /gm 3 over /vanish.
I believe there is a plug-in that crew can purchase. Maybe the developers can make a customized plug-in?
GM3 opens up more opportunity to abuse, so I don't see any of these points having validity. In GM3 you can phase through blocks, which can be highly abused. A perfect idea that @Pile told me about is a /spectate command, without mods having vanish. It'd put a moderator into /god /fly and /vanish, though when they do /spectate again it takes them out of all those modes and teleport them to spawn.
