Alright, we can all agree that the implementation of the new rule that if you don't meet the requirements you get 48 hours to do so before your application will be closed; I feel like this is a great change and was a great addition to the forums. However... an application will still be tagged as having 48 hours to meet the requirements until it will be closed even if an applicant cannot possibly meet the minimum amount of time for being on the forums in 48 hours. Solution... Simple, if an application does not meet the minimum amount of time for being on the forums and cannot possibly do so in 48 hours the applcation should be automatically closed. Thank you for reading!
Well I don't think it should automatically be closed, I feel like 24 hours should be the most. So I'm neutral on this, although, it is smart, I feel like the little wait for the application to get closed is needed.
What I'm saying is if in 48 hours the applicant can't meet the time on the forums requirement their application should be closed without being tagged as having 48 hours to reach them.
We are lucky that we can close them after 48 hours. Closing mod apps is a tedious thing as it can cause someone, someone who could potentially be an amazing moderator, to get their dreams crushed. Giving them notice before closing them is a good way to go about it, at least in my opinion. Some of the people could meet the requirements within 48 hours, some cannot. I feel like we must be fair and equal and just give everyone a 48 hour notice as well as let them know they are always welcome to reapply when they meet the requirements.
I understand to a degree, but the point of tagging them for 48 hours until they are closed is to give them a chance to meet those requirements, right? So why should they be told that they have 2 days to meet requirements it's not possible for them to reach?
It is just the way cyp wanted them to be handled. At first it was 24 hours, but has now been made 48 hours. I don't see a problem with giving them a 48 notice of closing their application. Also, if they do not meet the time required they mostly ask for their app to be closed. I don't see a need for the rule change, just my opinion.
There is no way to auto close apps however mods who are going to close apps need to record the urls of the apps they have tagged and then check on them 2 days later, I have about 6 to check today random has around 10
