I'm not sure if im the only one but has anyone else noticed that people who want to post farm avoid the minimum charecter thing by simply quoting the post above them and typing a one word phrase? I've seen a lot of people who's recent activity tabs are filled with stuff like this and they can gain like 100-200 posts in within a few days.
Ikr. I always see someone write a big long thing why someone shouldn't be mod, and someone quotes them with "^" or "^^^ reasons stated"
^^^^^ on a serious note, I have always it to be a nuisance when users post "reasons stated above." It's a low quality/futile response that displays the person posting it their laziness and only used to boost their message count, which in fact is also useless.
Post farming means to "farm posts" xD Well anyway on a serious note, it means that you're posting very often and bumping threads that way with the intention to increase your post count. Based on a Dyna's definition (I asked in a convo some time ago regarding the actual definition) she mentioned that post farming is posting 5 or more times every 10 minutes. And those must be constructive, they can't be like Reasons stated. Reasons stated. etc. So, e.g. I post 5 times in 10 minutes, 1 is constructive and 4 are just "No support, reasons stated above". Then that means it's considered post farming, whether they are constructive or not :P So best to make serious constructive opinions. Don't post farm like I used to do
Oh okay I see what it is now, thanks Though sometimes ppl post farm unintentionally... Its a tricky thing.
Most of the time, I guess. But when people say 'reasons stated' they might just be saying that because they dont eant to be repetitive And if u dont know what post farming is.
Sometimes you don't know because you've noticed there's a lot of mod apps or suggestions you feel you "must" reply to but then end up post farming. Happened to me once ;s
I don't know why you care so much about post farming honestly stupid I got banned for it while I'm not even trying to do it
some people do it on purpose, so they can get trophy points, and it's become an issue. That's why we need to take more care when it comes to posting messages.
I honestly don't see why having messages is such a big deal, but if it really is a big deal then the moderators will eventually catch them if seen post farming.
Who tf wants to be a popular member on here, been here a long time and don't give two damns about posts.
Post farming is stupid. Honestly who should care about their messages. The only real time anyone needs to worry about messages is when they are making a Mod app.
Sure lmao, Im mad that you have more messages on a block game forums site, I wish I was a "Experienced member like you and had so many friends online like you xD @Durt
