So this has already been done by a couple people like @Delta and some others, but I would like to re-introduce the topic. How It works: So, after every round, while in the lobby, there will be a chance to vote for a map. Every round a couple maps will be selected for the players to vote for. Then the players will use a command to select from one of the maps they want to play. Example: Map 1: Carnival Map 2: Mineshaft Map 3: Caves Map 4: Temple Map 5: Rust Then, the players will vote for which map by using a command similar or the same as this: "/map vote [1-5]". So every player gets a chance to vote for one of the 5 maps selected randomly. Also, the amount of votes a certain map has could be displayed in chat. Example: Map 1: Carnival [5] Map 2: Mineshaft [12] Map 3: Caves [2] Map 4: Temple [6] Map 5: Rust [9] Then, at the end of the voting period, the map with the most votes will be selected. And for all the people who are going to say "Everyone will just vote for a map that's unfair for the zombies!11!1!1". Then if you are on of the people who hate those kinds of maps, just vote against it. It's that easy. Thank you for reading. Please leave some constructive criticism in the replies below. Support, I don't play infection much but that seems like a good idea, and voting is on most of the big servers as well.
Support, I think this would be better than random maps. Although if say a map was chosen for the round, remove the map that was previously chosen from the voting system.
Support! It gets very annoying when maps that are disliked are played, and repeated. Adding the map voting system will have it so players would have a higher chance to play maps that they like to play.
With that psychology, it's safe to assume that maps that the community likes will be picked more than ones that aren't liked as much. Every map should be played evenly (although the randomization in the map selection should be fixed). The idea in general will probably be too biased. No support.
Hmmm... You have a point. To make it more fair, the voting can just be out of 3 maps, instead of 5. Because, if there are 5 maps in the voting, there would be a much higher chance of repeating maps that are more favored than others.
It would help, but it'd still be a matter of which map the community likes more as a whole, which is why I don't see it working out very well for infection.
