Hi! Mining here, and bringing to you my Guard Application! Here's a little bit about me- listen if you want! Well, my name is Claire, but Mining will do. I love to draw, but I love music even more- I play 3 instruments plus voice (Piano, oboe and *used to play* clarinet.). Squids are my favourite things-I'd like to be a marine biologist specializing in squids when I'm older. Did you know, that giant squids grow to approximately the size of a school bus? Anyways, I'm 14 years old and pretty much a technology junkie. Sadly, I left my phone on the train so I'm devoid of that for a while. Overall, I'm a pretty arty person, doing dance, music and art. Now, time for a few mentions... I admire all of you moderators on Mineverse, but as I can only say few, I'll limit myself to 3 (In no particular order..) @pokemaniac01. I must thank you for introducing me to the forums and sparking my interest in a staff position, and being generally amazing to me. Great thanks! @Pile_of_Butts. Woah. Well, thank you for being such a brilliant role model, and looking after all of us here so dearly. You've done so much good to this server, you deserve a reward. @BlueberryWaffle. Well, I've been watching him (Not in a creepy way!) climb the social ladder of Mineverse and grow into the wonderful moderator he is. And, I must say, he's doing great! On to the application~ How old are you?: I am 14 years old. Your in-game name: My in-game name is miningcreeper454. What timezone are you in? I am in GMT. (Greenwich Mean Time) What country do you live in? I live in England, UK. What languages do you speak? I can speak English as my first language, and am learning French and Spanish, but I am not fluent with them. Why do you think you should become a Guard? I feel that I should be a Guard here on Mineverse for many reasons. Firstly, I am mature. Although I crack a few bad jokes now and then, I can make swift, unbiased decisions and can cope with situations well. That leads on to my next point- I am hardworking and trustworthy. I can be firm, yet fair, and do not deal with rule breakers. I understand that being a Guard is no easy job, but I feel I am ready for this. I will stay true to my word, and never abuse my power. Thirdly, I think rules are important and never shy away from reminding players about them. Yes, I know that people may have just joined, and I will happily tell them the rules and objectives on the game, but if someone doesn’t switch their hacks off or spams frequently, I will politely tell them, and if they don’t stop I will not hesitate in reporting them. I want people to be safe on Mineverse. Honestly, the Prison is a hostile place anyway, but the chat does not make it any better. When I first joined Prison, I was scared off by the amount of rudeness in the chat. I was rather silly then, and asked 'What do I do here?' and got replies of 'Noob!' and 'Stupid!'. Not a single person directed me to the front board that I walked directly past. Of course, Mineverse has long since evolved from that, but there are still moments when the staff are all AFK and it becomes a madhouse. Following on, there isn't enough Guards. Although more are being promoted all the time, there is still rudeness and swearing going on behind their backs. I understand that I'm not perfect- nobody is- but I will try my best to be an excellent guard. I understand that people make mistakes, and I plan to tread lightly and minimize the ones I make. I understand that people walk past the contraband items list and run in with stone swords- I will remind them of the rules. Because, come on, we've all ignored the instructions once, whether it be assembling a table or installing anti virus software. I dream that one day, everyone will feel safe here on Mineverse, Prison especially, and everyone will feel happy. I know it's an almost impossible dream, but I will strive for it. How long have you been playing Mineverse? Almost a year. I’ve been an active member of the community since late February. Hasn’t time flown by? How long can you be active on the server everyday? Do you have any past experience as a Guard? No, but there's a first time for everything! Have you ever been banned on Mineverse? Nope- I'd be very ashamed if I was banned on any server!
