What is my suggestion? To create a punishment for griefing on Survival. Why am I creating this suggestion? Players are constantly griefed on Survival. Not in their claim, but quite literally outside their house. This prevents the option to expand your house in the future. This event actually creates a chain-reaction. *player is griefed* *player moves* *player is griefed again* *player moves again* How do players grief? We have Griefprevention! Absolutely true! We have griefprevention, and it works like a charm. However players can also be griefed outside of their house. Quite literally...outside. Giant cobblemonsters right in front of their doorstep. Obviously a player wouldn't want to live with this surrounding their hard-worked house or land. This is only a small example. Many players have experienced someone creating a cobblemonster outside of their house, going on their property, completely surrounding it with lava. ''Players are supposed to claim their land.'' True. And players do claim their land. However this happens outside of their land. No matter how big your claim size. Anyone can simply create a cobblemonster around it. A week ago I helped to remove a giant cobblemonster that surrounded a well protected/claimed area. There was lava all around it. A small screenshot: (this was taken as we were removing lava). Imagine that all around your village, castle, house, or farm. What punishment? We currently have a global server rule to punish players that troll others. Some moderators consider the situation(s) I have just described as trolling. While others don't. With this suggestion, these situations (and similar) would officially classify as ''trolling'', and would receive the punishment mentioned in the rules. This would include: Purposely griefing/claiming outside of someone's house to troll/annoy someone. Creating cobblemonsters to purposely troll/annoy someone. Each situation can be assessed by a moderator and handled accordingly from there. What happens to the cobblemonsters? Sr.Mods and Head-moderators can be given permission to remove claims. Although I understand that the owners would trust the head-moderators over Sr.Mods (no offense intended). Leave comments below. Support: 9 Neutral: 0 No support: 0
Omg support!! I hate this so much. They do it so much to me I've had to hide my houses underground so no one can find it.
"How do players grief? We have Griefprevention! Absolutely true! We have griefprevention, and it works like a charm."I'll tell you right now that griefprevention does not "work like a charm." I know for a fact that you can grief inside someone's claimed area.
Support, but how would we find out who made the cobble monster if we dont have video proof of them making it? People could easily say that they just claimed the land and didnt actually make the cobble monster.
Support, I think there is a Plugin called LogBlock for this. It can see who placed a block and when and rollback other players placements which removes the grief.
Mineverse may or may not have had this... dunno, last time I saw the plugin list on Survival was months ago.
I used to play survival obsessively on another server, they had a command called /modreq (reason you need a mod) then the mods could use this and it was resolved within a couple minutes
Support I have a idea of a grief prevention made by the players, but this could take many hours of work, plus the resources needed. The final income would be phenomenal with expansions of how large you want it.
