Yes, clean install. On Vista, I got a little message on the home screen about OpenGL. I downloaded Intel Driver Update Utility, but all it came up with is an update for my ethernet cable.
ok good so it can run exe files ok interesting . ok while we are helping you on here send a email to mojang they helped me alot with minecraft problems
1. Press the Windows button on the bottom left corner of your screen. 2. Click where it says "computer" 3.Click "System Properties" 4. Click in "Device Manager" 5. Click "Display Adapters" 6. Then click "_________" (Graphics Card) 7: Click in "Drivers" 8.Click "update Driver" 9. Then click the first option and wait until it says you have to restart your computer 10. Restart computer
It says its already at the latest updates. I've talked about it with someone from Mojang, and they said it's likely because Windows 7 hogs a lot of RAM. I have 2.0gb ram right now, and for $15 I can upgrade it to 4.0gb. Do you think that will allow me to play minecraft?
I did notice in your crash report you are not dedicating an awful lot of memory towards Minecraft. I'd recommend upgrading to 4 or 8GB's of RAM. You'll need to dedicated at least 1GB of RAM towards Minecraft in order for it to play.
OK SO DO THIS https://gyazo.com/0e74a5c6d00237e7d808a8587a80b330 now go to edit profile click the check next to jvm arguements and then type in -Xmx2G but instead of putting 2 put half the amount of gigs of ram in that spot
Load your client "Edit Profile" The very bottom, it says "JVM Arguments" Tick the box and then type in "-Xmx1G" Then, "Save Profile"
Probably. I'll see about upgrading it soon. I only have 2gb ram. Pretty sure Windows would crash due to not having any ram to run the OS.
