Staff should have to be staff for a substantial amount of time before retiring to be able to get the rank. If you've been a staff member for a month, then resign, you probably shouldn't get the rank. However, if you've been a member of the staff team for 5+ months, and you did a decent job, then you should be eligible for the rank. Of course, if you were to get the "Retired" rank after you've been demoted, it would just be silly.
If you think about it, with your brain. This can be easily abused, someone can be a mod for a month or so and do "decent" but still be everyone's friend, so when the lay resign or "retire" they'll get a rank... And if they don't people will be mad because everyone's friends with this "retired mod". No support, from an ethical stand point
Lol, what? It seems you can't think beyond a small range of possibilities. Many servers have implemented this feature successfully, and without drawback.
Stop being ignorant, I'll actually explain then you Neanderthal, first off I'm on my phone so I don't have the time to flip through pages, and idc about your post. Now stop the flame on this page now. Btw I guess I support
Neutral. Moderators are volunteers, they offer their time and dedication for nothing in return - and they know this when applying. Maybe a prefix would be nice, like "Retired Staff" or something, to show players there is an experienced member in the game, yet I don't think the rule should apply when the staff member has been fired, or demoted. I disagree with the rank upgrade, as I think it would encourage more moderators to apply - then resign 1 month in or something. Maybe there should be like a "Top Moderators" thing, every 6 months or so, which can have some form of reward.
You basically just repeated what I said in my suggestion. I know they volunteer. I made that pretty clear, lol. This suggestion is open to a variety of additions. I just proposed a few ideas. I'm not sure why this is hard for some people to understand.
If this were to be a thing, I reckon it should be for those who are deserving. Like, people who put a lot of effort into Moderation/who were long serving. @ the people saying things like "People will apply for Moderator and resign a month later just for the recognition" , I disagree. I highly doubt a bunch of people are going to waste their time getting promoted, working as hard as they can and then resigning JUST for a rank. But hey, even if they do, at least it will be temporary help for the server. It will be pretty easy to pick out people who don't care about Moderating / who are just in it for the aftermath of a possible rank of recognition. So with that said, I completely support this suggestion.
This is especially for staff members like yourself - who work and actually care for the server. :D Thanks for the support.
