New Staff Rank [Helper]

Really, I don't think a tag matters. I think not having a tag at all, but just having helpful people would make the server a lot nicer, and make new people feel more welcome to the server. Having a tag seems so official, but having no tags would make it seem as if the server is a really nice place, and not some hacker-polluted, rude and salty server.

 

We already have rude and salty people, including hackers. Having a tag would make it official, I know and that's my point. New people need official people who they KNOW can be nice and helpful, not just playing around trying to find a nice person to talk to.

I see your point in having some official guides, but we've had moderators slacking on the job, how are we supposed to have a new staff rank with a wider range of players, and expect them to stick to what they're doing?

True. I just don't see this happening, especially with Cypriot not wanting helper ranks or anything similar, and a guide rank is very similar indeed.

 

What a gag, he put Mineverse and big in the same sentence. Mineverse is small compared to the servers running the show theses days and if you are terrified about joining a new Minecraft server you need help lol.

This is actually a part of our job. We don't just look for hackers, we help people who need help in all sorts of ways. I'm not always looking for hackers 24/7. A lot of the time I am messaging someone helping them with something or explaining stuff they don't understand. Also, other players are very helpful too, I have seen it. Giving people a title will cause issues, as others said. Dealing with the resignation, demotions, and promotions would add more to Cyp that he has to deal with. It's a good idea in theory, but just adding another rank and one with absolutely no perms seems a bit pointless to me. Maybe if we try to be a nicer server and help people more that tag won't be needed.
